PacMan I did some research on Rock Auto and found the gas and diesel version share some of the same tanks. The lock ring configuration appears to be the same and the sending unit appears to be similar also. The answer is yes the steps would be very similar or the same. Only thing I would suggest would have been to paint and undercoat the tank to prevent rust and corrosion.
