I did feel turned off by Ren's english voices. It sounded too different to the Japanese version, although if the Japanese voice is ignored, the English voice still seems to suit Ren despite that which makes it easier to get used to. Nagisa's voice was also a huge no no. She sounded much older than her body.

(Searches up episode 34) what Chrono's aunt says in Japanese "don't play Vanguard anymore" yup she doesn't like it. Also when she said something about Chrono's father disappearing, I'm pretty sure it's that other guy that had the GC deck.
You can feel the venom in Toko's voice in the begining when she said trial and error like it's a sin but that's how you build a deck properly is by taking your time and figuring out what works for you.

Also in Japanese chronos aunt passed out from drinking I hate this minor censorship let us see a dark side to chronos life and what he endures. In English she was just working late instead of just being out after work too late and coming home passing out on the floor. If we can see in Asia circuit Misaki and asuka in bikinis together we can at least have more accurate translations. I fear this will end up like 4kids And hope I'm not the only one who feels this way. Vanguard is an amazing thing and I love having it as apart of my life and I wish the company took more pride in dubbing it. We couldn't even keep emi or nagisas original VAs now we just are having trouble translating what the original Japanese version even describes.
On a random note Tachikaze is not a bad clan so why can't a champion use it. My Tachikaze deck is the same as his and I beat Shadow Paladin with it he only lost because Kanzaki stacked

Aww, I was hoping the delay was because they were getting an English version of the new opening, but I guess not. No foreshadowing for the dub then. Mikuru's dub voice is pretty good, though they omitted the drinking reference. I agree with previous sentiments that Kanzaki's dub voice isn't great, especially in contrast to the original. It really needed to be deeper. There are some lines where the voice sounds okay, but then there are the rest of the guy's lines. Also, the problem of the dub voice actors not yelling is even worse for Kanzaki, who was pretty much defined by yelling a lot.
Wave Sine None of these actors can yell or the director is bad at his or her job. The director needs to watch the Japanese version to understand characters' emotions in scenes. He or she needs to say cut and redo the scene until the actors YELL. How hard is it for the actors and directors to do these things? This isn't new. This has been a problem since season one.
I'm almost convinced that the half-hearted yelling is something on the equipment end, or at least perceived to be, like they don't want to have the waveform be 'clipped' by amplitude limits or something. But yeah the lack of good yelling is something I've been annoyed with the dub about for a long while.
