I actually used your video about virtual devices to create one in ST that shows a camera directly on an echo 15. The only problem is that it takes forever to load on echos ! But hey, finally I can watch a camera without speaking to Mrs A.
Great insights into Homey Pro, I’m into that platform now and your videos are helping a lot! Your direction and teaching style is also very easy to absorb and learn from. Thank you for the time you put in on these. I’m migrating from Hubitat to Homey Pro and jeez there’s so much more intuitive techniques in Homey it makes automation so much easier to design and revise. In a weird way it makes tinkering with home automation a bit more fun.
Thanks! Yes, Homey Pro is fun to tinker with for sure. I’m hoping that it will eventually provide more support for US devices. Until then, I’m somewhat reluctant to convert from SmartThings.

Just waiting for them to get more Apps that use companies that are located in the USA. I have quite a few products that Homey Pro does not recognize yet. When interacting Homey Pro with your Echo Amazon devices, does everything stay local? If not, is there a way to keep the entire process local and private?

There is an official Aqara App that supports many of the Aqara devices including the Aqara door sensor. It can be installed from here: homey.app/en-us/app/com.xiaomi-mi/Aqara/
@@tikass9901 ~ if you have either the SmartThings hub or the Homey Pro hub, you can install Aqara door sensors without having the Aqara hub. Do you have either of these hubs?

No. Amazon requires cloud services. I am not aware of another way to connect the devices without use of the cloud.

@@BudsSmartHome as I know we need aqara hub to use aqara door sensor. I like the one you just explain without aqara hub.
