    Had my A7 for a month. Unusually the car didn't have a reversing camera so I had one installed a week ago....right choice. It makes such a difference. Otherwise the car has everything I need, Black Edition just looks classy and of course the 21"Rotors show off the Ibis White beautifully. Barely run in by one owner and £35k under new price, driving heaven.

      @@monkeypops85 ...I opted for the HD Camera with night vision. £700 installed in about 5 hours. Audi couldn't do it. Apparently, parts are on long order. I got the impression they didn't want to do it. My local Audio Specialist in Bromsgrove did the job and I'm very pleased with it.

    Really informative video! but I have a question, we all know that manufacturers mark up/inflate their RRP, so I'm just interested to know, how much did you actually purchase it for? I'm looking at buying a used 16/17 plate, specced like yours, with 45k miles for £22k - is that a good price to pay?

    • @fastandcarcurious4768
      @fastandcarcurious4768  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      qwerty yes that looks a good price to me. Loaded up I should have paid 58k. Paid 19500 less, but interestingly at this point (three years into a four year PCP I’m £5k in negative equity!!)

  • @timfuriel3226
    @timfuriel3226 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for making the effort with the video. Really informative.
    I'm replacing my 2017 e220d in the next couple of weeks (not impressed by the build quality of it at all!), and I've considered pretty much every alternative (BMW 640d gran coupe, Jag XJ, Golf R, No Mercs!!), and as I want something faster with more torque (Budget max £30k), I've made my mind up on a 2016/17 A7 Bitdi Black edition (the new 55TDI is out of price range sadly). But there are so few Bitdi's available that I'm really struggling to find one of the spec I'm looking for (tech pack, parking pack, advanced key, daytona grey, moonlight blue, or possibly white). So I'm considering the 272 that you went for. Did you testdrive the bitdi too? Is there any part of you that wishes you'd gone for the bitdi? As I could open up a lot more potential cars, but I worry that I'll regret not going for the extra power and beefier sounding (albeit fake) exhaust in the bitdi. Thanks.

    • @fastandcarcurious4768
      @fastandcarcurious4768  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tim Furiel I did drive the BiTDI. It sounds great (but fake as you point out) and is faster, but at no point have I I ever thought I was short on power. The 272 is very pokey. The biggest difference is actually experienced away from the lights. The 272 only has one turbo and it’s a big one and so although you get a lot of torque there is some lag. You don’t get this from the Bi as the smaller turbo spins up faster.
      The 272 is an epic car and extremely reliable too.

      Leon Scott-Cullen. Hi Leon, make sure that you get a huge discount now that then new model is announced. Residuals of the current model will dive next year when the new one hits. I got standard tech pack, so head up display, tft in between the dials, Audi phone box. Tech pack High brings radar cruise. That was correct as of September 16 and so you need to double check current spec. I think 2017 brought apple car play too.
