I love it when someone has that one tank or more that they give updates over and over through time. I enjoyed the journey of the 400 from the discus tank to the scape with the initial plants, the switch to the big swords, and then the foreground gravel to sand change. If another big change is coming, I'm interested. I also just recently ended my longest-running setup (2020-2024) so far in my time in the hobby for a new scape to experience more things.
It is therapeutic watching you work and explain what you are doing. I love all of the detail you include while you are working. Thank you, George!! Reading your book cover to cover 😊
I watched this all the way through while building out a new bit of hardscape. I hadn't even planned on building anything today, but the video got me excited to start gluing wood and rocks together!
I love to watch aquarium maintenance videos. It is not all about the hi tech equipments you have in a set up but how a person can maintain a tank weekly is really the key to success. Thanks for the video brother!
Thanks for the video, I had this on in the background while I was working on my new biotope set up. I'm looking forward to the book and will be pre-ordering soon. I watched till the end and look forward to your calaboration with MD. Cheerio from the States.
I love how calm and relaxing your videos are, a perfect way to start the day. Those crypts may be some of the most beautiful I have ever seen ❤ Do you know if the Oase Highline is available in the US? I'm only able to find the Scaperline here.
Hello George, The Oase Highline 400 is beautiful, don't change it to fast and of course maintenance is very important, that is cleaning the glass, vacuum the gravel and at last, waterchange and cleaning the mechanical media of the filter and then enjoy the (hard) work, which can be relaxing.😊
Excited for an MJ collaboration :) i have very hard well water and came to mixing 1/2 and 1/2 with a year round spring's water in my town in Vermont. It seems to work for me. Love your beautiful scapes and thoughts and wisdom !
About the lighting, I have just ordered that skylight Entriq. So lets see how it holds in comparison to the ZET Light Lancias what I have in Highline now.
Thanks for another day in the life of your aquariums. I really enjoy seeing the fish. Though Tommy and Betty should be helping you take care of their siblings 😅
I agree about the lights. I have an adjustable Chihiros light and it baffles me at times. I like the ramp up and down features rather than the old just on or off, but whether to have more reds or blues 🤷🏻♀️ I’m mystified 😂 can’t wait for you and MD to hook up again. Take care George
Unfortunately not, it gradually evolved from the original hardscape layout - 5 years ago, when I had discus with plants, then no plants, then these plants (with a few changes), about 3 years ago. I’m pleased you also love the plants! 😄
I have a Chihiros and it’s a great light. But I don’t really use any of the controllability. Just set at 6700k and 100% and let it be. I prefer the colour spectrum of the twinstar but they don’t do a shade like the Chihiros. Great video as always!
Awesome! I saw how you drained the water from your tank with a siphon in one of your previous videos and bought one myself-really handy! But now I see you have something for filling the tank as well. What’s the name/brand of that device? I’d love to get one myself. Edit: I watched till the end :)
Thanks! The refill device is something I was given by Aquarium Gardens. I’m not sure if they’re for sale yet. I believe they’re 3D printed by a customer. I will find out more because there’s a lot of interest!
Can either you George or maybe someone on this channel give me an estimate for the total cost of the 400 tank, everything including the total system, plants and fish? Trying to budget a build in my living room.

That crypt tank is looking absolutely incredible.
I love the Cichild aquarium looks beautiful, love the house plants too 💚🌿💚
I absolutely love that cichlid tank! I'm glad you've kept that aquarium going.

Thank you 🙏

The times I'm at my most peaceful are at Church on Sundays and when I'm doing tank maintenance. the soul is soothed.
Exactly
You're inspiration for all of us

My background inspiration for maintenance on my 350 litre tank. Love it George
Ur a Legend George! Learned a lot from you and your Books.
Greetings from Germany. 👍🏼🍀
Many thanks! 🙏

lovely tanks!
Tanks look so great George!
+1 to healthspan. I think having a calming hobby contributes to this as well.
Yes watched till the end, your crypts look amazing.
Absolutely watched it to the end.
Lovely scapes!

Great work George greetings from the Philippines!😊
Marvelous as always

My pleasure 😊

I think they’d eat them if they had the chance! 😅
@@GeorgeFarmerStudios just keep the fridge door closed so they can not get the tartar sauce.

😃 looking forward for you and MD setting up an Classic Amano scape. Will it be MD style or ???
Is there a build video for the Oase high line 400? I’d love to see it!! I’m in love with the plant choices

Where can i but the syphon and refill adaptor part from? Thanks.
No more red colander?! Beautiful tanks George! I'm still using buckets, it's like weight lifting lol
Sorry to ask but what kind of angelfish are those? Those are lovely
The common name is Platinum Blue here in UK
What is the name of the device spitting water upright on the incoming water hose?
Waiting the collaboration

What is the name of the refill device? I still use a colander but this looks like a better option.
I’m not sure. They’re from Aquarium Gardens, I believe 3D printed by a customer.
Sarebbe interessante vedere dove mandi l'acqua che togli da vasche così grandi e con che serbatoio fai il riempimento (dal tuo bel video non si vede)
What is the ppm of the water in your area? Mine is 33ppm is this soft for planted tanks?
If you’re talking TDS mine is around 300ppm. 33 is very soft and likely good for most plants and many soft water fish 👍
@@GeorgeFarmerStudios thank you 🙏🏼
Bravo from Romania Dracula land 😂

£5K
I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER FOR THE DUTCH GEORGE 😅
Delayed gratification is a virtue 😇😂
Wait! I thought tap was American and faucet was British.
I’m an American from the Midwest region and we mostly say faucet. But I do hear tap sometimes.
Excess snail poppage = extra snacks for the fish!
