Belle idée de jouer le "Amen" à l'orgue d'église, comme un hommage au compositeur ! j'adore cette oeuvre : jouer la Basse Continue à l'archiluth est un régal, : on se laisse emporter par une musique qui nous remplit et qu'on aimerait ne jamais se terminer 🙂 Certes le pattern de la chaconne est répétitif, mais aucune monotonie car chaque phrase est écrite différemment : Buxtehude est vraiment un merveilleux compositeur.

In the Uppsala manuscripts there are 2 versions of this cantate, the first one without the Amen, which Buxtehude apparently added later. Here you find this 'Erste Fassung'. The ending is our answer to the question if the sinfonia was repeated in this first version. We think our solution with the big organ is historically adequate, but of course not necessarily the only option.

Prachtig, op mijn professionele installatie vind ik de galm erg zwaar maar de opname is fabuleus. Kan het de kerk zijn, die de galm versterkt?
