Love them, both had great albums this year. Katie is absolutely glowing! The kinda people with good taste where I immediately wanna seek out they're recommendations.
My late husband was a huge fan of PS Eliot, as well as waxahatchee. After they died, several psychics told me they were the reincarnated soul of Ezra Pound.. a close friend of TS Eliot. How surreal that in all the universe we reincarnated into bike punks. Love you.
Much preferred the format where you cut to a sample of the music,or reading from the books. I got a few new artists from that. With this format, I'm less likely to sample. This "play it in the background" thing is not effective.
@@MichaelSalmons64 Fair enough, but I know I'm not. I think these videos are a chance to do three things: 1) Promote the store; 2) Find out what musicians enjoy listening to; 3) Promote bands you may not have heard before. It's at its best when it does all these things.

I must admit that I am not familiar with KATY's music. Is it in any way to be compared to Kevin's of which I am a big fan ? So glad she picked FOR THE SAKE OF THE SONG by Townes Van Zandt which is an all time favorite in my collection. So I have full confidence in her musical tastes. Which album of hers can you lot recommend?
@@pierinmess5415 Everyone please watch the Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock And Roll documentary. Pay for it. It's worth it. it will break your heart, make you angry, make you love this music and these people. Thanks Kevin for the shout out!
@@GonerRecords I know about the struggle the Cambodian people have gone through. Actually, the word 'struggle' is not enough. Probably no word is enough. I assume the documentary does delve a little into it. But maybe I am wrong.
Oh man, that movie killed me. Particularly the end with the acapella song “Phnom Penh.” Absolutely heart wrenching. It’s a hard genre to dig deep in because so much of it was lost. It was on such an upward trajectory then just got quashed.
TH-cam was restricting the video because of the nude drawings. We had to censor them in order for TH-cam not to limit access to the video. Wish we didn't have to, but we don't make the TH-cam rules.
The Saint Cloud album was awesome, amazing to find this channel and see some of my favorite Indie artists.
Glad they managed to finish their shower before filming this
I love Waxahatchee and her twin sister. Watching from London.
Are you named after Tenpole Tudor? If so, good on ya! :)

The album by "that dog" is so damn good. That and the first couple of Tuscadero records were a big part of my 90's "girl pop" phase.
It is so damn good! Like Outkast for Morby, That Dog has really been helping me keep it together during COVID.

Fully agree.
I understand your point, but I'm going to go search all these things anyway so it really didn't bother me.

8:30 yes yes yes!! Townes is the greatest.
that dog! nice!
So cozy! Great picks!
honestly I'm just observing Kevin Morby in sinister anticipation for clues of Katie's next "Out of the Storm" artistic moment
Can't wait to see the next indie rock stock do one of these on the toilet.
Ahh! Thanks Amoeba. This episode really warmed my heart. Two of my favourite artists, sharing some joy.
I've been a big fan of both artists for some years now. So awesome they are together

Yep! One of Phil Elverum's "Escaped Wolf" paintings, plus an Elverum photograph on the other side of that doorway (between Kevin and Katie).

Great picks especially OutKast stankonia
These 2 are so genuinely eclectic and honest.
Ok i didn't know much about...
Morby an Waxahatchee are couple? Or something 🤔
yeah, a couple!

Nice haul! Seem like good people!
Jolly nice too!
Drinks is sooo freaking good.
Thanks Amoeba! Awww what a cute couple. Some nice choices too.
There’s a soundtrack to that book Enjoy the Experience. A lovely Wimb episode!
Great picks. Just listening to Tenci- super cool!
You guys seriously had to sensor drawings of pubic hair?
Thanks youtube
Finally someone had to be obscurantist enough to pull out a Cambodian Rock n' Roll record.

His voice reminds me of Matt Berninger from The National
What are you possibly censoring? Line drawings of nudity?
Even Amazon doesn't censor the image of the cover.

Alabama? If so, that's the creek she named herself after

The morb meister
Gotta be honest I’ve listened to this guy at the recommendation of some friends, and let’s just say he doesn’t have it..had me super underwhelmed
They're not going to make it

Because it needs to be said eventually -- Yoko Ono's music is complete crap.
Amen
Yoko Ono? Skipping to Mac DeMarco...
Who are you people, and why should I care?
