In Jeremy's defense, most of the stuff he listened to early on did NOT showcase Chance.
But, as many of us, I still see Rob trying to sing that last bit with his shoulders shaking after Austin's memory fault.
And when Tim solos, all I can think of is "na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na", with everyone cracking up.
Yes that was the song they criticized Robs performance and it TICKED ME OFF too!!!❤

Dont feel bad about taking a minute to really appreciate Chance. It took some of us a minute, too. I picked Home Free up from The Sing-Off, so it took a few songs for him to sound "right" to me. And I know I wasn't the only one. But now he's part of the family, and I wouldn't want to hear HF without him.

As always, the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific. Adam often wears a bandana so people don't realize how long his hair is. I don't think there's anything they haven't done with Austin's hair (buns, a ponytail, pigtails in "Remember My Name", a pompadour, French braid . . .).Thanks for playing this - Rob has such a gorgeous, clear voice!
I absolutely love the hat Austin was wearing. He looks so nice in a hat. This is actually the 3rd time they have recorded this one. It was done in between the show and this one. I enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
This should justify your feelings of how you felt Rob did originally on The Sing-off. Now the voices are more mature. I’m sure Ben Folds may feel differently now.
This was the song that the judges were hard on to Rob! I think they especially wanted to give it back to Rob on that 1st verse because there wasn’t a second verse in the sing off. They wanted to probably emphasize how good Rob really is and put it out there for them to see and how much behind Rob they are! I liked this song from original artist but I love Home Free’s version and with Adam’s verse and Tim’s tag it is fantastic! A fan, low bass Kenneth

I actually watched The Sing Off the year Street Corner Symphony came in second, so I've been a fan of Adam C for longer than Home Free. He's special. They all are. Several years ago, HF recorded Colder Weather (with Chance singing v 2), so I couldn't see how HF could make it better, but, dang, did they! My favorite part was the beautiful run Austin did just before Tim's solo. However, all five sounded great! This version is a favorite!

Thanks guys!!! Chance eventually warms his way in, doesn't he? For me, he has that storytelling voice, and I always BELIEVE the words he's singing because he sounds so sincere every time he sings. It's like a hug. And yes, this is the one the judges were hard on Rob with!! I think it's a proper redemption for the Robster, wouldn't you say? Not that he needed to be redeemed, but it still feels good! They always tend to upgrade even their own music! :)

This was so beautiful! Always enjoy the songs that showcase all the individual voices. I have always loved this song when Home Free first did it on the "Sing Off" & then redid it a few years later. But I think this 3rd remake is my favorite version now.

Yeah, whenever I hear Rob lead or get a solo, I want to find the judges, play the song, and then shout, "In your FACE!"
I wish they'd let Adam pull his hair back. Ive seen him push it back with his hand or move his head, trying to get some off his face. Looks like it bugs him. He's at that awkward stage you get to when growing out your hair....
If you really want to hear Rob lead an entire song...you have to check out "Catch Me If You Can". According to the guys, they couldn't decide who was going to sing the lead on it so they were going to take turns to see who sounded best. Rob went first and the guys all said "Nope. We aren't even going to try. It's Rob's song now." And it is one of my favorites. Not many people react to it, watching "End of the Road" for a Rob lead but in my opinion, "Catch Me if you Can" is better by a long way! BTW, my husband likes that hat but to him it is a Billy Jack hat from the old 70s movie "Legend of Billy Jack"

Great reaction you two as usual - regarding Austin's hat (I'm dating my age here) In the 70's I believe, there was a Movie called "Billy Jack" / Don't remember the actor - but he played a hero of the downtrodden in the Arizona / New Mexico area I think - but he was a natural fighter - he wore that type of hat which was better stylistically and loads more cooler that that creepy looking thing the weirdo Rev' guy wore...look it up - Each guy knocked it out of the park on this one...

What a wonderful song this remains. Every time I not only hear it, but I feel it too! Every part of every member is amazing! The video is also so beautifully done. Yet a tear flows down my cheeks. I think of my partner who had his birthday on December 25, but died unexpectedly in January 2019 at the age of 60. But I hope that he has finally found the peace where he is now that he cannot find here on earth.

Zach Brown also did Knee Deep with the late great Jimmy Buffett. He performed the tribute on stage of the CMAs when Jimmy was recognized. I had put a request in on the boys' fan page when they allowed it, for them to do one of Buffet's classics, like A Pirate Looks at 40 or The Captain and the Kid, but am unsure if that was even acknowledged. Lord knows we don't need another rendition of Margaritaville. One can hope, I guess.

Nothing wrong with saying hark back - it's a perfectly cromulent expression. 😉 And Jeremy, we could tell you had become a Chancer (or whatever the name for it is), but great to hear you say it. I feel like vocalists in the baritone and alto slots get a lot fewer opportunities to stand out than the designated tenors and sopranos (low basses just punch you in the gut to get some attention anyway), so it's not surprising people (including me) take a while to "discover" members like Chance or Cesar. So long as we get there in the end, everything's golden.

Sorry. When they were in the Sing Off, the judges couldn’t find anything wrong with the group until Rob was singing lead. It turns out the producers wanted only wanted Tim or Austin doing the lead.
