Exactly...the increase in marks will vary from school to school ryt... Because in our school if someone gets 80 on 100 in preboards, they will for sure get 97+ in board exams......so my question is will it be a general formula for all students or will it vary according to the strictness of the school?.. hope sir sees this.
Whatever methodology they try it won’t be just... A student scoring in 80s in prelims can improve to 90+ in boards as well as a student who is scoring in 60s can improve to 90+🤷♂️. One of my senior failed in two subjects in preboards and got two tight slaps by his mother on the result day in front of the whole class😂 he then scored 94% in boards. So whatever methodology they may put forward won’t t be just. The increase in % from preboards to boards is highly uneven and depend on student to student☹️☹️☹️
Such an ambiguity should have been avoided..icse should just cancel the exam and take the highest mark of the exam written and give for other subjects and close this issue completely and save students from this trauma
Sir, but as you know, marks are not given the same manner inside every school by the teachers it varies from teacher to teacher, It is a humble request to CISCE to try to develop a methodology for the same, so that fair marking can be done in case the exams are not conducted
Sir our principal is giving very high marks for those students whom he like and those who are joining there for plus one. This is unfair.so the students who failed or just passed got around 90 and some students got their orginal preboard.
Sir I am trying to study for 10th std remaining subjects but I am not able to study as I used to study during March 😣 What should I do sir... please help me sir😞
Sir, what about the students who have scored even less ,that is around 40-45 in both, geography and biology in preboards ? Will you advise them to choose option 1? They must have done pretty good in finals. But were not so serious while they were appearing for preboards .
Sir my entire class has chosen to take option 1 and me and only a few students has chosen 2. Sir the peer pressure is a lot . Can you talk about it in your videos ? it will help me and a lot of students like me.
Let's not always blame the council for these circumstances . Council is also trying it's level best to give out the fair and transparent decision. As we already know about merchant of Venice let's not forget the silver caskets scroll meaning guys. Let's pray that everything should go well.
Sir I think the council should take the decision of marking scheme according to the students marks in rest of the board exams that will help them to understand how each individual student had worked hard in his/her board that will be more fair..... Like i score 55 out of 80 in biology exam bt now my preparation is like that I can score 80 on 80 so. N??
Sir thankyou so much for providing all the information which u have been providing since 19 th of March regarding our pending papers we can totally rely
Sir I told u in inbox that our principal is forcing us to give our decisions by 19th of June but today she informed us that we don't have take stress for submission of our decision we can submit our decisions by 24th of June.......
sir i think the best method will be to claculate the written exams average and the take that as the marks for the remaining subjects.i hope this is good for all class students
Since one part of H.C.G papers (History,Civics and Geography) has been conducted i.e History/Civics and two parts of the Science paper have been conducted i.e physics and chemistry hence hence the marks in the paper which are left in each of the subjects can be given according to the marks received by the candidate in the papers which have been conducted. The board can then use the methodology which it has been working on for the rest of the papers.
Sir if you can then please inform the council to tell principals to take students opinion again after the formula is being made public.🙏🙏🙏In my school we were forced to give our choice yesterday only
Sir I am asking this question so many times-- if we had failed in one sub in pre bords and we chose the option of not writing the exam what will they do?
Sir but schools are sending marks of remaining papers BUT there may be students which are good in computer or biology as compared to previous paper then ????
Pre-Boards marks vary accross the schools . Some schools are lenient in giving marks, some are very strict. Working out any methodology based on Pre-Boards marks is a difficult and may give rise to debate. It has often been observed that there may be 15-20% increase in Boards for the students who are not in top bracket and their result is average in school as compared to the toppers in school for whom the increase in Boards exam may not be more than 5-7%. I can give example of my first son who passed out in 2014. He got 62% and 68% in the two Pre-Boards but there was phenomenal increase in his Boards marks. He got a shade over 88%. I think the best solution would be to evaluate students on the basis of internal assessment for the remaining papers. Then everyone will feel happy as no school wants to rate poor in this parameter. By adopting this students will not be exposed to health risk by sitting for the exam as well as will get a fair judgement in their final report card. Students should not be victimized due to the prevalent situation.
My unpopular opinion: The example discussed by you if partially fair when considering marks lost ; In both cases (75 and 60) the student loses 50 percent of what he lost in his preboard originally. However, what actually concerns me is how the methodology could be used fairly as a standard for candidates from various schools, with different levels of paper difficulties and checking patterns.(A student scoring a 75 in one school's preboard could have scored a 95 in another's). It goes without saying that many students may have not given the papers or put in as much effort as they would have, if they had known about the methodology. The methodology doesn't take into account the possibility of teachers' personal grudges against particular students and favouritism. Lastly, and one of the main purposes of the board, to act as a regulating body by providing a uniform result procured from a standard examination, with a similar fixed checking scheme, would be highly diminished.(The homogeneity of results associated with the board would be broken as a result of differences from and in preboards of all affiliated schools)
Sir the difficulty level of preboard papers vary from school to school, then will the value of percentage increase in formula vary from school to school?
sir, It has put even more pressure on the students and parents to select an option. If the council has arrived on a methodology why cant they offer it to all the students and cancel the exams
Hey study with Sudhir I have a doubt is the choice system by the cisce . Is it individual choice like if one person wants to write he will write and if the other person doesn't want to write he doesn't. OR is it like a majority minority vote like if majority says yes it is yes or if majority says no there will be know exam
Sir, we should take into account the arrangements by school and health department and negligence at ground level too. Even if some students are appearing for exams, what is the guarantee that each school has done sanitization at the level that happens in private offices. What is the guarantee that their washrooms are clean and sanitized. Further, why student's life is put at risk? One from Covid19 and also by choosing their internal exam marks? As you mentioned earlier, Virat Kohli makes mistakes in net practice but performs better in thr ground. Schools and teachers keep pressuring the students and buldoze parents. In fact on school PTA WhatsApp group, they only allow one way communication. If a parent tries to raise a voice then the settings are changed for admins only.
@studywithsudhir Sir I am Sohom Saha I have one request to you that plz keep the proposal to the council that how Telengana Board have cancelled their board exam. ICSE council should also do the same with ICSE student, I think it would be quite fair for every ICSE student.

@@StudywithSudhir Sir our school has also allowed the parents to take the letter home and decide with the other family members and submit the letter by 23rd June.. This thing is fair too
But marks of the students in pre boards depend on the school
some schools make the paper simple and some make it difficult
Ya and sometimes correction is also not strict in some schools
yes you are right

in my school if someone gets above 75% in preboards then in the boards that guy definitely gets above 93%.

I think that they should simply promote the students on the basis of project marks
Most of the schools are like agar 1 student ke liye center open karna hai toh better sare students hi aayen. Its less hectic for them.
