if this is how the series is gonna be going forward they need to improve the combat system. if it does not change that much people are gonna drop off the series as it's clear compared to the previous games the turn based combat has issues compared to the beat em up one.
I was never completely sold on the real-time combat of the original series, but I get what you're saying. I think they tried to emulate Dragon Quest a bit too much with the combat. DQ is a very, very slow series, and Yakuza doesn't really fit that tone as well. Like you said, it definitely needs improvement. I'll give them the benefit for now since RGG is new to RPGs, but YLAD2 better bring something more interesting on that front.
