- Dr. Kevin Cosby, the senior pastor at St. Stephen Church in Louisville, Kentucky, delivered this incredible speech Friday at the funeral of boxing great Muhammad Ali, reflecting on how his legacy was so closely tied to the story of Civil Rights.
"He dared to love black people at a time when black people had a hard time loving themselves" Dr. Kevin Cosby

PROUD TO CALL THIS MAN MY COUSIN AND MY PASTOR
People.. this was so needed to be heard and eulogized about this shared dimension between Muhammad Ali and the African American people and the larger American people. I thank you for addressing it, Dr. Kevin Cosby. Might I humbly day that was another spectacular deep wise and powerful speech. I loved the horse in the mud metaphor.
FYI, this recognition is coming from a Muslim Persian-Arab Emirati man. Because Muhammad Ali and We, drink from The same *Fountain of the Nur and Love of the Prophet Muhammad (SAAWS)

So only you and Ken W. Wimpson found something negative about the speech. Islam was well represented at this funeral by numerous speakers, and rightfully so. Come on brother. This was a memorial to honor the legacy of the Champ. Not a PR campaign to promote Islam, which I highly respect. Stop it.
You are box minded to understand that this person spoke of the dimension of Mohammed Ali that he and the black community shared aND what the American people share.. . Secondly, this was who Ali was. we're all property of Allah s.w.t, doctor. and you can not be a product of just one race when you're growing up in a multi race society in which you're a minority, doctor. even the majority is influenced by the minority. In fact the majority and the minorities are greatly influenced by one individual who is a property and the product of Allah s.w.t.
This was great! I was raised Christian but more and more I'm starting to think that Christianity is just another white mans thing. So I get confused by why so many Black people (my ppl, if you're wondering) still submit to a white mans religion at the same time as honoring the Great man Ali was. Just my thoughts.
