Purgatory. To say it has some big names in the movie, it came out with very little fanfare. It’s one of those rare gems that you occasionally come across if flicking through chanels late at night. Well worth a watch though.
Sam Sheppard is a favorite of mine. If you like him I recommend watching “Blackthorne”, Jessie James with Brad Pitt, & “Don’t Come Knocking”! Intriguing concept got this enjoyable movie!

WOW, this is the first I've heard of this movie, what an interesting concept, not to mention the all-star cast. Someone, please tell me there's a sequel or a reboot in the works.
@@spider3web221 I could see an anthology of the concept: circa 1945 prohibition gangsters, circa 1975 mafia and syndicate associates: heroine, circa 1995 cocaine/crack dealers and gang bangers, circa 2020 war 'heroes' and warmongers. Now that I think about it, this concept seems to be an expanded story from the Twilight Zone episode "A Nice Place to Visit." I wonder...
@@galadballcrusher8182, the plot is worthy of a sequel. As I explained before, the movie is a period piece, but the plot can be from any time period. Hence, the plot isn't original. It is an expanded story of a Twilight Zone episode made more than 64 years ago in contemporary times. That's why.

An easy way to have a channel and creating ‘content’! Hell even the narration is computer generated! I only look at the first few minutes, if interested I get the movie title and watch the movie.
IT's actually a pretty good movie called Purgatory, has a star studded cast when they were all in their prime or best years of acting it released with little fanfare as it was a Tv movie made by I think an old late 90's Ted Turner cable channel. TNT I think, still a good film in my opinion if you like westerns and it isn't too long either, maybe an hour fifteen to twenty minutes tops.
This movie came out in the late 90's and was a TV movie done by one of the Ted Turner cable stations and is taken from a much older episode of the twilight zone. IT's a good movie with some real headliners for actors and actresses for it's day.
Cool looking movie but bad theology. Those who put their faith in Jesus, no matter how bad they were before (just look at the Apostle Paul) will be saved. There is no purgatory in the Bible. My advice to everyone is to …”Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” Acts 16:32. I hope to meet you all in Heaven if not before.
You do realize that the majority of printed religious text is all morality stories told thousands of years before Jesus David and Muhamed right? Does the bible not say to repent for your sins and show God you are worthy of his forgiveness and compassion, that is exactly what this story is trying to convey asking for forgiveness alone is not enough you need to prove worthy of it not by mere words but deeds.

I’m really sick of narrated movie excerpts. Shows desperation of monotoned spokespeople to get their 15 minutes of fame.

Definitely poor theology.
All theology is mythological crap. There is no life after death or supernatural stuff.
