Ustad Irshad Ali Mehdi Sahib sings not on just the typical Raag Script but he adds Chhota Khayaal of his own on every stanza, which is unseen on a scripted gazal. The Tabla Vaadak and if there is a banjo player...they all have to follow his lead and sometimes lead his singing at some points for a peculiar twist. I really enjoy Ustad Irshad Ali Mehdi Sahib's performance.
