I've just discovered this song, being a new Army, and I'm shook at the lyrics. It seems like the boys were treated really poorly by BH, it breaks my heart. Dont worry the Bighit is 100x better than the other company there is this company one of their artist commited suicide because of the depression and pressure of there company. But Bighit ain't like that they treat bts like their own children. If you worry about them for not going out a dinner its because back at that time they dont have enough budgets, they can barely afford cakes if there is a bday, thats why jin will just cook for them. But its different now, they can afford any foods they want to eat.

However, this is not to say that bighit hasn't wronged the members in anyway or their anger is not justified. Suga here uses the non-existent company dinner as a example to illustrate his actual concern which is how the trainee life is lonely and boring. So, while it could be that company dinner came to Suga's mind as a example because of his past but it also could be that it's just cause he's at an age where he is over other things which indicate how lonely and boring trainee life is. My full respect to BigHit for allowing the boys to publish a criticism but very realistic track about themselves. I don't think any other company will ever allow this. Not even in their dreams! They can't date due to delulus. It will hurt their careers massively if they date publicly now. But in the next few years, I think they'd be able to. I mean, they can't sing and dance this way forever, there will come a time that they will long to have families of their own. For now, they gotta live with being famous.
Many people in the comments are talking about how shocked they are about the treatment that BTS received as trainees, but it seems you haven’t been interested in koop for long, so here are some points I I would like to bring up: - the emotions they described is actually very normal for a kpop trainee. In the kpop industry the process of affairs is: passing audition -> training -> being selected to debut -> debut -> success. Every independent step is very hard. IU didn’t pass 15 audition before finally passing. During the training period most of the trainees quit and only a few get to actually debut (Jihyo and Johny had trained for 10 years before debuting). And after debuting, obly a small % succeeds. There are so many groups these days and only about 10% are considered successful and within these 10% only a small amount actually earns money. If you are coming from a big company, you don’t really have to worry about your group not being successful (though even there are exceptions, like Day6, Red Velvet at the beginning and CLC are not as known as Blackpink, Twice or G-Idle), you just have to worry about being selected for debut (which is NOT a small worry). But coming from a small company, your future is really unclear. So the pressure and emotions they feel are what every trainee from a small company experiences. So please don’t be so shocked and stop babying them by assuming that it only happened to BTS. Also please learn more about kpop industry as a whole (the good AND bad sides). - they wrote that they hate their company. Where do the emotions come from? It’s not abuse as you may think and they are not being treated as slaves. At that time it was 2012, Glam was still active, it’s unclear if the first scandal happened or not. They were doing just so-so. At that point in time BigHit was in a big debt and they were barely keeping up from sinking. And later after the 2nd scandal and Glam’s disbandement it was actually very unclear if BTS would even debut. But they did, as BigHit’s last hope. BTS’s hatred is justified, but so is BigHit’s action. BTS were pissed about being let hanging, not knowing if they ever get to debut by BigHit. They also were not being treated meals by the company. But at that point in time even BigHit didn’t know what the future would look like, I think it was actually a good thing not to plant false hopes in the boys. And they just didn’t have the money to treat them a meal. Looking at them now, Bang Si Hyuk (BigHit’s CEO) has a really close relationship with the boys which would be impossible if they were treated like shit by him, heck if that was the case, they wouldn’t prolong their contracts last year, BTS would have left and made their own company. Even if they were some matters here and there (like Bang Si Hyuk not remembering one of the the boys’ name - predebut of course), the freedom they had to make their own YT channel (back then it wasn’t the norm), upload daily vlogs, write and release their own music, heck, even the fact that the could release this track says A LOT. - so, what I’m trying to say is: it was natural to feel that way during the time of big uncertainity. But it’s important to realise that this song doesn’t reflects only BTS’s feelings, but most of the trainees in small companies. Please also realise that BigHit was in debt and thus also in uncertainity, acting accordingly, yet they still gave BTS the freedom almost no other group was given. And lastly, while it may startle you if you are a new kpop fan, this is the reality of kpop that BTS always try to portrait. Even now they are being as real as possible. Also, last year BTS has re-signed their contract. They could have left and create their own company, it would have been much more convinient for them, but they didn’t, they stayed at BigHit with Bang Si Hyuk. By this act it’s clear they love their CEO and there is mutual affection, understanding and respect between them. So please, insteat of speculating and lamenting over the past, focus on the present. Because right now, BTS are active as a 7 member group, as a whole. In a year we may not have that. So let’s cherish the moments we have at the moment and not dwell at the past.

In a lot of Bangtan Bomb you can see their daily life - their harsh training, their struggles and their happiest moments. They shared with us the most important moments for them and let us in very close, closer than many groups ever will. Their music reflects their emotions and journeys, just by listening to it you can clearly picture what the scene of the industry and Korea in general looks like - from Suga’s portray of depression to their emotional struggles with growing fame and sense of alienation from their peers. They write posts and interact with fans on Weverse and they also share their daily life, songs and books reccomendations on Vlive. Because they have been given this freedom from BigHit they continue to let their fans in - even though it’s just a small glimpse in the grand scheme of things, it’s enough for the perceptive ones to create he whole picture. After all, there is perhaps no other fandom with so much great detectives as Armys.

It’s kind of how the K-pop industry works. Honestly, in many ways they probably had it better than trainees from some of the bigger companies as their contracts tend to be brutal. Big Hit is actually pretty lenient in comparison. That said, I agree with you that it’s horrible.
This shows that they wanted to date, idols have feelings too, they should not be stopped from dating they are humans who deserve to feel love if they want to.
The reason why bighit and bts are so successful because right from the start they were different from the rest of entertainment companies. They were allowed to produce their own songs when the rest aren’t. They reached out in social media when the rest aren’t allowed. They are guided by sincere seniors like bangpd who actually treated them like his children when the rest are treated like business. They seek comfort through each other and treated themselves as real brothers when the rest considered their members as coworkers. I am just happy they found each other. Bts and bighit, and the rapline/ the seven of them for staying despite training for 3 years. I wanna thank them for existing through their music, through thick and thin, through discrimination, the lack of privilege because they are under a small company, being happy and continuing to reach their dreams amidst all obstacles they have on the journey.

I know what this song is already about, and I’m angry about how trainees and idols are treated like this and I do agree that they should be able to have fun, but now their on a extended vacation so let’s hope they can enjoy Christmas without a lot of stress, but there’s also TXT we should be worried about not just BTS. I can imagine that they must feel somewhat pressured to live up to BtS, but thanksgiving is very soon, so let’s just be grateful that BTS, and TXT are here along with so many other kpop bands that have made it into America, Straykids, NCT, Super M, GOT7, BLACKPINK, Ik some of the have been here for awhile but I’m just listing a few, and I know there are many more but these are the ones I can think right off the top of my head, sorry. I've just discovered this song, being a new Army, and I'm shook at the lyrics. It seems like the boys were treated really poorly by BH, it breaks my heart. I just hope things have changed now and that they're happier. And they should be allowed to date freely and have normal social/family lives. It's so cruel to control their lives like this.
Dont worry the Bighit is 100x better than the other company there is this company one of their artist commited suicide because of the depression and pressure of there company. But Bighit ain't like that they treat bts like their own children. If you worry about them for not going out a dinner its because back at that time they dont have enough budgets, they can barely afford cakes if there is a bday, thats why jin will just cook for them. But its different now, they can afford any foods they want to eat.

However, this is not to say that bighit hasn't wronged the members in anyway or their anger is not justified. Suga here uses the non-existent company dinner as a example to illustrate his actual concern which is how the trainee life is lonely and boring. So, while it could be that company dinner came to Suga's mind as a example because of his past but it also could be that it's just cause he's at an age where he is over other things which indicate how lonely and boring trainee life is. Many people in the comments are talking about how shocked they are about the treatment that BTS received as trainees, but it seems you haven’t been interested in koop for long, so here are some points I I would like to bring up:
- the emotions they described is actually very normal for a kpop trainee. In the kpop industry the process of affairs is: passing audition -> training -> being selected to debut -> debut -> success. Every independent step is very hard. IU didn’t pass 15 audition before finally passing. During the training period most of the trainees quit and only a few get to actually debut (Jihyo and Johny had trained for 10 years before debuting). And after debuting, obly a small % succeeds. There are so many groups these days and only about 10% are considered successful and within these 10% only a small amount actually earns money. If you are coming from a big company, you don’t really have to worry about your group not being successful (though even there are exceptions, like Day6, Red Velvet at the beginning and CLC are not as known as Blackpink, Twice or G-Idle), you just have to worry about being selected for debut (which is NOT a small worry). But coming from a small company, your future is really unclear. So the pressure and emotions they feel are what every trainee from a small company experiences. So please don’t be so shocked and stop babying them by assuming that it only happened to BTS. Also please learn more about kpop industry as a whole (the good AND bad sides).
- they wrote that they hate their company. Where do the emotions come from? It’s not abuse as you may think and they are not being treated as slaves. At that time it was 2012, Glam was still active, it’s unclear if the first scandal happened or not. They were doing just so-so. At that point in time BigHit was in a big debt and they were barely keeping up from sinking. And later after the 2nd scandal and Glam’s disbandement it was actually very unclear if BTS would even debut. But they did, as BigHit’s last hope. BTS’s hatred is justified, but so is BigHit’s action. BTS were pissed about being let hanging, not knowing if they ever get to debut by BigHit. They also were not being treated meals by the company. But at that point in time even BigHit didn’t know what the future would look like, I think it was actually a good thing not to plant false hopes in the boys. And they just didn’t have the money to treat them a meal. Looking at them now, Bang Si Hyuk (BigHit’s CEO) has a really close relationship with the boys which would be impossible if they were treated like shit by him, heck if that was the case, they wouldn’t prolong their contracts last year, BTS would have left and made their own company. Even if they were some matters here and there (like Bang Si Hyuk not remembering one of the the boys’ name - predebut of course), the freedom they had to make their own YT channel (back then it wasn’t the norm), upload daily vlogs, write and release their own music, heck, even the fact that the could release this track says A LOT.
- so, what I’m trying to say is: it was natural to feel that way during the time of big uncertainity. But it’s important to realise that this song doesn’t reflects only BTS’s feelings, but most of the trainees in small companies. Please also realise that BigHit was in debt and thus also in uncertainity, acting accordingly, yet they still gave BTS the freedom almost no other group was given. And lastly, while it may startle you if you are a new kpop fan, this is the reality of kpop that BTS always try to portrait. Even now they are being as real as possible. Also, last year BTS has re-signed their contract. They could have left and create their own company, it would have been much more convinient for them, but they didn’t, they stayed at BigHit with Bang Si Hyuk. By this act it’s clear they love their CEO and there is mutual affection, understanding and respect between them. So please, insteat of speculating and lamenting over the past, focus on the present. Because right now, BTS are active as a 7 member group, as a whole. In a year we may not have that. So let’s cherish the moments we have at the moment and not dwell at the past.

In a lot of Bangtan Bomb you can see their daily life - their harsh training, their struggles and their happiest moments. They shared with us the most important moments for them and let us in very close, closer than many groups ever will. Their music reflects their emotions and journeys, just by listening to it you can clearly picture what the scene of the industry and Korea in general looks like - from Suga’s portray of depression to their emotional struggles with growing fame and sense of alienation from their peers. They write posts and interact with fans on Weverse and they also share their daily life, songs and books reccomendations on Vlive. Because they have been given this freedom from BigHit they continue to let their fans in - even though it’s just a small glimpse in the grand scheme of things, it’s enough for the perceptive ones to create he whole picture. After all, there is perhaps no other fandom with so much great detectives as Armys.

It’s kind of how the K-pop industry works. Honestly, in many ways they probably had it better than trainees from some of the bigger companies as their contracts tend to be brutal. Big Hit is actually pretty lenient in comparison.

The reason why bighit and bts are so successful because right from the start they were different from the rest of entertainment companies. They were allowed to produce their own songs when the rest aren’t. They reached out in social media when the rest aren’t allowed. They are guided by sincere seniors like bangpd who actually treated them like his children when the rest are treated like business. They seek comfort through each other and treated themselves as real brothers when the rest considered their members as coworkers.
I am just happy they found each other. Bts and bighit, and the rapline/ the seven of them for staying despite training for 3 years. I wanna thank them for existing through their music, through thick and thin, through discrimination, the lack of privilege because they are under a small company, being happy and continuing to reach their dreams amidst all obstacles they have on the journey.

I know what this song is already about, and I’m angry about how trainees and idols are treated like this and I do agree that they should be able to have fun, but now their on a extended vacation so let’s hope they can enjoy Christmas without a lot of stress, but there’s also TXT we should be worried about not just BTS. The fact that people in the comments are laughing at the lyrics...y’all disappoint me. They were pouring their hearts out in this song, talking about how lonely, and how controlled they were...they couldn’t even take a break because they had to practice not being guaranteed to debut. I think people saying "OMG these lyrics are so sad, poor boys, and ARMY should be worried" haven't yet worked hard in their whole life. This is them as trainees expressing themselves, being real, yes, but they knew what they were signing for. NO BODY WERE FORCING THEM TO BE TRAINEES IN A KPOP GROUP.
