@@karin4436 usually souvenirs are kinda junky stuff that doesn't really get used or have a purpose but a look book would make souvenir clothing and accessories more of a sustainable item. She could even do a homeware tour of how she incorporated decorative souvenirs into her home

Love this video! I'm a Canadian and it made me really happy to hear how interested you are in Canadian indigenous history/culture, I recommend the book 'The Inconvenient Indian' for the colonial indigenous experience, very sad but accurate account. Also the book 'Braiding Sweetgrass' is a GORGEOUS indiegnous book on their culture, practices and environmental connection of many North American indigenous peoples.

Hey, I was thinking about how to articulate why people may be nagging you about missing your daily vlogs. And I was really trying to figure out for myself why I was so addicted to not just watching them, but to rewatching and binge watching old ones. I know you’ve said you felt relieved to take off the pressure of making everyday “interesting” and that was your mindset around them. But to be honest I don’t think that’s your viewers mindset. I didn’t watch them because I thought they were interesting, lol (not that your boring or anything), I watched them because they were relatable. Online nowadays all i see is perfect idealistic lives that I could never attain and it’s exhausting, but with you (though your aesthetics are always on point, that’s just a bonus 😉) I could see that you were just like me, still just trying your best, dealing with a head cold, dealing with anxiety (but not in a cringe way), getting the groceries, trying to eat right but loving ice cream etc. I never cared or expected your vlogs to be interesting, I loved their scattered realism because they were so unique compared to everyone else. I’m not saying this all necessarily to convince you to go back (Because who am I to tell you what to do lol). I’m just offering this little bit of viewership insight into why I watch your vlogs, and I don’t think I’m alone. I don’t think you could ever do anything that would make me stop watching your vids. And thanks for at least doing weekly vlogs. You’re kinda like having a gal pal that is inspiring and relatable and that’s why I love you. ❤️

This makes me so HAPPPYYYYY. I’m canadian, I went to school on Granville island and my family’s tribe originates in Stanley park. I’ve watched you for so many years so this just makes me so warm and fuzzy ❤️❤️ you’re welcome back WHENEVER you like ! 😂 can’t believe you bought cowboy boots in BC and not Calgary lol I definitely recommend heading to the island if you ever come back to visit your friend! Take a ferry to salt spring Island together and I know you’ll fall in love ❤️
I'm from Vancouver and I loved watching this vlog! I actually live right near Granville Island :). Anyway I would recommend watching Indian Horse and reading the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Actions (its online) while you wait for the other books you requested. The first peoples are very much present, diverse and thriving here in Canada even though it is depicted to tourists that they are no longer speaking their first language or practicing their culture and traditions
As someone from Canada, I think Alberta is the only province with Big Cowboy Energy LOL, but very glad you enjoyed your time here!!

It's so crazy to me that it snowed in Alberta at this time of year and I'm from Toronto! Usually doesn't start snowing here until November or even mid December!

I NEED to know how you packed your hat without folding it weirdly haha! How do you but a hat in a bag??
I normally roll up the clothes and make a hole in the middle of the suitcase, put the hat in upside down to fill the hole, the edges of the hat sit over the top of the rolled clothes. Then stuff the hat with smaller things like socks 😁
