Omg! I enjoy watching Ms. Jordon Chiles on the floor. It's Amazing 🫶🏿 plus she's the only gymnast who does the floor & dance. Oh,Yeah she need her dang medal 🫠😛😁🥉❤
I really dislike the two-pass routines we're seeing this year. I love dance, but the balance between choreography and acrobatics seems off in these two-pass routines.
@findingthatperfectspot4692 for sure. I totally agree. I don't watch collegiate, I only watch when elite athletes go to school. Here, I wish I saw more passes. I felt like it was too much downtime for silly dancing. I wish there were more skills if anything in between the acro and dancing. Like a good wolf turn or making a few holds or pirouetes.
@@AltusPlateau82 I can't say I agree with you on the wolf turn (I HATE wolf turns on floor), but other than that, yep. And yes, in a way they did reduce the number of passes to make judging easier! The more skills you do, the more likely you'll make mistakes, so the fewer skills you perform, the fewer deductions you are likely to receive. Obviously, gymnasts do need to meet a certain difficulty threshold, so only gymnasts with sufficiently difficult passes can get away with doing two passes. Other gymnasts will have to do three (easier) passes.
I know. You'd think that any one of the form deductions such as the flexed feet in her double back would merit more than a 0.025 deduction. I don't see how they deduct such tiny amounts.
@corystajduharthe flexed feet in the double back are never deducted for anyone. Most likely one judge saw her foot shuffle on the first pass and took 0.05, while the second judge missed it and gave her a 10, and they averaged the scores.
She legit needs to be careful about the extra celebrations and hand signals and such. There are rules in the code that sanction excessive celebrations and using hand signals/sign language for unsportsmanlike purposes.
That's true for the FIG's WAG Code, but is it also true for the NCAA Code? NCAA gymnastics isn't judged by the FIG Code. NCAA floor exercises have been full of inappropriate and questionable moves for years.
@@findingthatperfectspot4692 As for the 2nd question: Correct, NCAA is judged basically by the JO Developmental Team Code with modifications made by NCAA. in conference with NAWGJ. As for the first question, I believe that goes with the last question in this context. Yes there is language in the WDP code and NCAA code concerning things like direct acknowledgement of the audience members, using gestures to indicate messages to the audience, and delaying competition by remaining on the floor past the end of the routine to engage in excessive celebration. So the question of what is appropriate or questionable in a gymnastics meet is highly susceptible to interpretation.
And we are still not rotating the leaps precisely it seems. Stellar routine other than that little bug. It wasn't a 9.975 routine, but it was great. -0.05 lack of precision in leap series. -0.05 flat feet in the double tuck. -0.05 low chest on landing of double tuck 9.850
I know you guys love this but to me it's what's wrong with NCAA floor routines. There is very little actual choreography. This is just butt shaking and gesturing to the audience.
That was choreography, you just didn’t like it. Jordan is expressing herself the way she likes to, with music and movement that means something to her. Some stiff and stuffy been there done that routine that most of the ladies do would not suit who she is. And…you think that qualifies as butt shaking? 😅😂
The problem is the leotards are cut so high these days no matter what they do a butt is shaking 😂. As a former gymnast I know they really don’t have to make them that cheeky. It’s designed that way and it’s sad.
I hate these type of NCAA routines. Its so many mish mashing of songs, no choreography, next song next song next song, no chance to really dance, just quick jerky look at me wink... over this ncaa style. Just gesturing to the audience, and jerking around.
Exactly! Couldn't get a sense of the music at all with just a few bars from each song. The movements seem disrespectful or even inappropriate. Maybe I'm just getting old (59)😂
I'm bothered by how the uniforms fit. The lack of coverage is cringy to me. Especially given the types of dance movements and split jumps done in the routines. @jillsy2815 maybe I'm just getting old too.
let it go. She is a phenomenal gymnast, better than either Romanian, however she didn't earn the bronze medal. She had too many mistakes that she normally didn't make and she did not complete that leap to give her a higher sv.

One of my favorites! And i freaking love this new routine! 💜💜💜
I love watching the Olympics, but the college gymnastics are so much fun.
Her charisma is off the charts.
I totally agree!

Her choreography really matched the music. Well done.

WOW! I enjoy seeing more dance and flow mixed in with the tumbling routines! Rock on!
That choreography was the shit! A perfect 10. And a 10 for her performance, of course. 😊

I miss the hard stuff that she does from elite gymnastics, though.

Yes this seemed more like selling sex than skill and grace.
That should’ve been a 10!!
I totally agree
Where were the deductions because I know i didn't see any!
I believe it might be the precision in the leap series (first leap slightly over rotated) but that’s being picky for sure!
@someonenamedstan6822 Absolutely agree that it was a deduction on the first leap.
@someonenamedstan6822 under split on the tour jete I think
WOW

Wow! Amazing 😊. God’s favor
