BUT, just from the DC content I've seen, Siyeon was a singer in a band for 5 years during school. Big fan of Metal bands like Baby Metal and ONE OK ROCK. She said once that when they told her to dance she told them something like "I didn't come here to dance, I came here to be a singer." Dunno where that went (glad it did )cuz I think she dances more than any1 besides maybe SuA now 😂 Extrapolating from that tho, SiYeon didn't move to Seoul to become an Idol. Think all of the other girls from DC intended to be idols from the start and even then MINX was a sensitive subject for years. But I actually also think (but this is pure speculation) that something must've gone down or Happyface was just really sorry for the failure bc the suggestion for DC came mainly from Siyeon I believe. Others said the CEO wanted to buy them a café if this wouldn't work out. I'm actually just astounded by how close the bond between them and the company has to be.
