New characters are Stripe (Bandit’s younger brother), Trixie, Muffin and Socks. Socks is only 1, so she behaves more like a dog. She’s in that transitional phase of infant and toddler, but does the “grudge crawl” more because it’s easier and she is still teething and finding her vocabulary. Muffin is 3, she’s one of those sort of “hit or miss” characters in the fandom because she seems more likely to throw tantrums, but she is still just a little girl with a big voice and a small vocabulary to express herself.
Stripe is voiced by the series’ creator’s real life brother.
Capsicum = bell peppers. I’m so glad you’re watching the Aussie version to hear how Socks tries to say green capsicum, it’s too adorable!
And yes, Bandit and Stripe are drinking beer.

Capsaicin is the spicy substance in Chili Peppers, Capsicum is what they call Bell Peppers in some countries including Australia. And Indeed, in the American version of Bluey distributed by Disney, they do change the word Capsicum to Pepper. Edit: Also, the brown things in the tree are seed pods. I'm actually surprised how many people don't seem to know that.

I believe Americans would know that capsicum relates to peppers lol. There was no point changing this.
I mean Bluey had several other more complicated words that remained unchanged such as thongs for slippers.

@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast Not really, actually. That's a word we here (especially kids) don't really use or hear in a casual setting, if at all - I've probably heard that word no more than five times in my entire life before watching this show, and only from watching this show did I find out that some places use it to refer to peppers as a whole.
I do wish though that they wouldn't change things like that for American audiences, as hearing an unfamiliar word and being curious about it promotes research and discovery, which would be great for kids to do!

@@SYDAirlineEnthusiastyou think 4 year olds know what capsaicin is and would be able to rationalize that that means capsicum is a word for peppers? Are you sure about that? Because I know plenty of adults who have never heard the word capsaicin

You're not kidding about the salad being more work than you'd think - my aunt made a slaw of brussell sprouts and broccoli in balsamic dressing to go with Thanksgiving dinner and it was one of my favorite things that night!

    2:00 Muffin’s a girl.
Also on Disney+ they said peppers instead of Capsicum. Not sure why, tbh.

Probably for American audiences. As an American I had no idea what capsicum was when I first heard it so I had to look it up.

Bluey and Bingo are basically playing copycat by copying their parents! (In a way...)
Bluey was BBQing like her Dad, and Bingo was making the "Salad" like her Mom, so she now knows how hard it is to make a salad. (Differently, since Bingo was playing copycat!)

Correction: This episode of Bluey is called “Bee Bee Queue”, cause the episode title is called “BBQ”, not “Barbecue”.
