I agree the head breather bolts do want to cross thread

You need to run a chase to clean out the old thread locker resudue in the breather bolt holes on the head. It’ll help when installing the new breather bolts and help avoid cross threading.

Thanks for the advice. The area on my heads didn’t have any residue in the threads. And the new hardware had thread locker on the threads. So no additional locker was needed.
