- This was Tsarukyan's UFC debut, has gained a lot more experience since
- Makhachev had a staph infection which drains a lot of your strength, Makhachev's striking has gotten a lot better since.
Tsarukyan vs Makhachev 2 will be a great fight but Tsarukyan needs to get past Oliveira first.

This was also a short notice fight for Arman and he was just 22 at the time.
They tried to short notice him again for June 1st. Arman knows not to fall in the same hole twice.
I knew Tsarukyan would beat Charles. Charles does not do well against that Russian style of wrestling. To be fair no Jiu Jitsu practitioner ever does and given how good he performed against Islam, I just knew he would beat Charles. Now with that said, Islam has also made major improvements and I think better than Tsarukyan. When it comes to the wrestling Tsarukyan would be a much bigger challenge than anyone else in that division BUT Islam Makhachev is Master of Sport in Sambo 🤷♂ And he trains with current and former world champions still. I think the second fight would be much easier for Islam Makhachev.

Arman is the answer to Islam's top level grappling. This is the only time I've seen Islam truly struggling against an opponent.

Me but i checkmarked Tsarukyan at this specific event since thus was the very first time the entire brawling match had my undivided attention and i was on the edge the whole time

Styles makes fights mma math doesnt work like that, charles has better jiujitsu while malhachev hurt him on the feet because charles was pushing forward and did mistake. With Arman Charles was a lot more patient

Because styles make fights and clearly Arman and Islam have similar style. Arman fought harder opponents than Islam such as Dariush Gamrot andDamie Ismagulov. And just because he didn’t finish Oliveira doesnt mean he is weaker than Islam
