This was 2014, aka the peak of KD’s scoring prowess. KD averaged 32/7/6 on 63.5 TS% while leading the Thunder to a 59-23 record with Westbrook out for most of the season. He averaged 29/9/4 and lost in 6 to an all time Spurs team.
This was before he turned into a snake and went to golden state, so yeah they didn’t expect him to win the rings he did KD won’t win a chip as the #1 option or without the help of a superteam

The craziest thing about Durant is that he isnt even playing up to his potential. Can you imagine if he became a Jordan or Kobe type player w that ferocious will to win?!
