- **Environment**: General issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change.
- **General Science**: Basics of Science.
- **Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) Paper II**:
- **Comprehension**: Reading comprehension and understanding.
- **Logical Reasoning**: Analytical ability and logical reasoning.
- **Decision Making**: Problem-solving and decision-making.
- **Basic Mathematics**: Basic numeracy.
- **English Language Comprehension**.
### 2. **Main Examination (Mains)**:
- **Essay**: Writing an essay on various topics to assess thought expression and coherence.
- **General Studies**:
- **Paper I**: Indian Heritage and Culture, History, and Geography of the World and Society.
- **Paper II**: Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, and International Relations.
- **Paper III**: Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, and Disaster Management.
- **Paper IV**: Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude.
- **Optional Subject**: Two papers based on the candidate's chosen subject.
### 3. **Personality Test (Interview)**:
- This stage evaluates the candidate's personality, communication skills, presence of mind, and overall suitability for a career in public service.
The UPSC syllabus is comprehensive, requiring thorough preparation. For detailed information, candidates often refer to the official UPSC website or standard coaching materials.
