- Lead-acid battery plates are conventionally made by making a battery grid from lead or a lead-based alloy by gravity casting or by expanding strip. A wet paste consisting usually of a mixture of lead and lead oxide is applied to the grid.

Used engine and gearbox oil, mixed with paraffin. Leaves a thin film that allows the lead not to stick.

Someone please tell these guys that they should find mother employment before they start having health issues. This is not a good long-term career choice.
