With the second clip, he started dribbling a long time before getting into the 1v1 situation. Initially it looked like he was trying to beat 5 defenders but having replayed the clip, he won the ball and saw the space to attack between and behind the defenders. This matches with your theory in him seeing and attacking the space but just thought it worth also highlighting. However, before he played the ball past the last defender, he had a clear short pass through to his center forward who was onside, so he probably made the wrong decision especially as his touch past took him away from the goal.
Really nice observations here. I think it is important to differentiate between the terminology of running with the ball and dribbling, whereby the latter involves taking the ball past an opponent (as defined by data analysis organisations.

Essa performance nesse jogo que ele teve, Neymar tentou fazer de tudo para o PSG avançar. Ele recebia a bola e ver o espaço e tentava o passar do oponente ou chutava para o gol, tentava um passe, Neymar sempre atacava nunca parava de atacar tentava de tudo continuva indo para cima ( ataque) foi o que eu vi nesse jogo que ele teve um grande performance
Também não se esqueça do espaço na costas do oponente e do Neymar ❤

@@mcnoof7 it's a great question. Firstly, the best players will look for the most efficient solution, which is why simple but well mastered feints and tricks are often used. However, when the status of the match is in Neymar's favour and they are in a comfortable winning position, he may attempt more complex tricks to entertain fans
