- I am opening a 1st/First Off The Line (FOTL) hobby box of 2022 Panini Contenders NFL Football for our next sports card pack break/product review! Hobby boxes have an SRP of $225 but resell in the mid $300 range (FOTL boxes sell in the high $500 range). Every box contains 18 6-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 5 autographs (1 on-card), 1 parallel, and 18 inserts in every box. FOTL boxes contain an exclusive Rookie Ticket RPS Red Zone parallel and an exclusive SSP Red Zone Season Ticket parallel. This product comes with chances at pulling the iconic Rookie Ticket autos, popular Cracked Ice parallels, 1/1 parallels (Super Bowl, Platinum, Printing Plates, Clear Mosaic), various Rookie Ticket parallels (Gold, Silver, Playoff, Championship, Stub, Variation, Clear, Showcase), autos of the NFL's top rookies/superstars/HOFers, autographs/rookies of Brock Purdy, Kenny Pickett, Malik Willis, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, & Chris Olave, and more! You can get these boxes for yourself from your local sports card hobby shops and online retailers/sellers. Overall, I would rate this product a 4.75/10 (hobby is a 6.75). If it would cost around $100-$150 a hobby box I would definitely try a box or 2. But idk it seems like the inserts get worse and worse every year
I completely agree. I think the 2022 product is WAY overpriced. 2020 and 2021 had such strong QB classes the ceiling of the boxes was so high.. this year I feel like prices dipped a tad but ceiling dropped a ton. Can’t be ripping $800-1200 boxes and getting under $200 in cards. Just wild some of the openings I’ve seen. Kenny Pickett is getting all the hype but he’d be QB 3-4 in both of the prior classes as far as hype.

Love the on card guarantee and will buy a hobby box, but yeah, it’s a very hit or miss sorta product.
Love the content! I watch it almost daily. Call me crazy, but I'm just not seeing the value in opening many of the boxes lately. The value is just not being returned on average from the openers I've watched.

@@JayceWendel any hobby box guarantees and auto or two or three depending on what brand. I do like that contenders gives you 5 . I think donruss hobby is 1 score hobby is 4 most others are 2 per hobby box .

I am not sure if this rip was indicative of these but I was underwhelmed with what you broke versus cost. Be nice to see some fire in there and I am sure people will hit it. I would give this box a 4 out of 10 or a meh.

Just got a kenneth walker breece hall dual auto off a 2 box break
I like contenders myself personally but it’s a brutal product to open let’s be honest. I’ve bought several packs and blasters of NBA cards and have only hit my second Rookie Ticket Auto…unfortunately it was only Isaiah Todd (no disrespect to him) so yippie, $3-$5 value there. The other auto I hit was Austin Reaves so a much better pull there and with him balling out lately has only increased his value.
Like the design, but I’d like to see the pic and ticket swap sides.

Yeah i watched some FOTL breaks when it came out and quickly realized that the ugly redzone autos are not #’d and replace your chance at a big cracked ice on card auto

If you think about the fact you only pulled one rookie aside from your 5 hits not really worth the price tag. Odds that you hit a big name on those 5 are slim

I used to get contenders hobby boxes thrown in with break results when I got back in the hobby in 2019. I still can’t shake the feeling of getting a bunch of crappy autos and all that base. It’s a no for me Packman
