  • A bit of action from earlier this week, starting with some very section reinforced crane track on a wet Monday morning. There’s a couple of well made and high tension machine beds, we softened these up with the four tonne ball as there was a chance that we folded them but the machine wouldn’t be able to compress them enough to shear, they also had very hard slides welded along the length of them which could potentially damage the blades so I also want to dislodge those. These were reinforced internally and very hard steel but we succeeded - and far more quickly than burning.
Just for the novelty value, there’s a redundant muckspreader, something we see a lot of, usually still half full of muck, this one wasn’t but watch the rust flow out of the shear.

When you were doing the lighter sections at the end of the video would it not have been easier to put the bin against the wall and let the cropped pieces just fall into it then pull bin out of the way and tidy up the debris

06:53 - Keep an eye on the lower ram greaser/lube pipes where they hit the structure, or they will wear through and cause a problem.

Somehow, it's very therapeutic to watch this machine ! 😂

Yeah, me and our John, one of my kids, find it quite therapeutic operating it 😂👍

When you put that chassis in the press and sheer I thought no way is that going to handle cutting that up, but holy crap it did😮👍

Do you take non-ferrous? I would actually drive 50 miles out of my way to see this beast in action.

Half of our trade is non ferrous but I couldn't guarantee that the machine would be operating, the scrap business is very quiet in the UK and we run the machine when necessary for as short a time as possible

Two more loads of concrete lego blocks currently waiting to be installed when we have the time.

Would love to see full crushing of a large van in this machine, from this perspective, thank you.

There’s a video on my Instagram page if you look back a couple of months to when we’d just installed the shear @markschofield0608

@@markschofield9494 oh thats a shame I don't have instagram. If you get the chance to do one for youtube, that'd be great. I am sure many people would love to see that. Thanks for your vids, keep up the good work!

Must of cost more in fuel than the box was worth.

No, it was heavy material, it's also the job-our job, we have to accept that some material is going to cost more than others to process.

Morning, this machine must amaze you as professionals too. What a capacity 👌

Well, it's our first shear of this type but having done a lot of research aned question asking before I ordered the Copex, I tried to get an idea of what to expect beforehand so we aren't entirely suprised. I guess we are exploring its limits and sometimes we are pleasantly surprised, the truth is that we are learning as we go, we started out with little more thanhaving watched TH-cam viedeos, unfortunately, some operators will show something large being fed in and starting to crush it but then not show it being actually sheared, which is easy. there are much larger machines out there so we are happy with what our Copex is doing, also, a side squeeze machine is the ultimate in crushing power compared with a wing type machine like ours.

@@markschofield9494 thx for the reply. A trick like the pre-treatment with the reckingball was a smart move and interesting to see.
      Have a nice day
