I was surprised to see that it was only going to take you 8 mins to cover off the rules for this, so I had to take a look. You did a very good job, and I particularly like how you referenced the theme all the way through too. Excellent.
+Adhil Patel Yeah, this was more my "old-style" video where I do a rules overview and not cover all of the rules, so it was tricky getting all the information across in the time given. Thanks for the comment :)
Thank you for another great rules video. I do love your animations and transitions. This game also looks great. There are just too many games!! Can't cope... ;)
+hybridmaci Thanks. Glad to have you on board. I have however moved away from the all-digital videos recently in an effort to produce more content, so I'd be interested to see what you think of the later videos (Nippon, Signorie, Vinhos).
+Gaming Rules! I watched them too. They are really well-made as well, clear and understandable also for a non-English speaker (like me). This digital was stunning, but I can absolutely understand that it takes too much effort to make :)
Out-Takes? I'm afraid I've come a long way since my first video and no longer need to film a scene 100 times to get it right. I could do a video of me swearing at the computer every 10 minutes when it doesn't do something it should (i.e. it does exactly what it is supposed to do, I'm just doing it wrong!)
+Gaming Rules! Yes! I'm getting the game today and watched a few reviews, but they made it look like a complicated mess, but this made me feel much better.
Thanks. I spend a long time trying to make the script clear and concise, whilst also getting across as much informtation as possible. The rules of this one are ok, but when you start playing, you will look at your 6 cards and go "I have no idea what to do". My advice, just do stuff randomly for your first round and see what happens. Dont worry too much about whether it is the best thing to do or not"
another excellent video, can't believe you covered the rules in under 9 min! I got a copy of this game last month and I'm looking forward to bringing this out to a meetup event! by the way did you make the 3D videos yourself or did "WhatsYourGame?" supply them to you?
Thanks for the comment. Glad the video helped. Everything you see here is my own work, from the script to the 3d visuals, film editing, transition scenes, etc. Except the actual artwork for the game itself :) If you check out my other videos, you'll see I use 3d work a lot in them, but it takes a very long time, so thats why some of my more recent videos have been done using real footage.
I love the art style and look of this game. One of the boards that got me interested in board gaming again.
Bloody amazing video, I say! Paul sure is in a league of his own, when it comes to board game explaination videos...
+Hans Rasmusson Thanks. Appreciate the comment. Please spread the word if you can, as most people haven't heard of me :)

Baby Paul! Another great video :)
Awesome job Paul. Totally sold on the game now! :)
Pre-ordered.. Looks stunning.
Thanks for clarifying that rewards track, the rulebook wasn't clear enough for me and your excellent use of computer graphics helped
Glad it helped. Thanks for the comment. Sometimes, things are best shown visually.
+Gaming Rules! I'm a visual/hands on kinda guy
me too. why I love demoing games in person so much! So much easier to teach.
fantastic overview! Still waiting on mine to ship out from Germany... patience is not my strongest feature
Отличное объяснение правил.

that's amazing. You should be getting backing from publishers for making this stuff!
When do we see the outakes!
Just used this to teach Phil how to play. We had a good game but of course Oli beat me by like 10 points.
Did he cheat and gets loads of points from the tasks again? :)
Yeah pretty much he had 5 tasks at the end of the game :/
