I have been failing a lot of attacks with hogs because i was failing the funnel and my hogs just split and die but i finally learned how to funnel by this video and i haven't failed any attack yet,it is amazing
What you need to do is test for cc with an archer no need for 5 wallbreakers at th7. Then lure the cc to otherside of map so u can take out barbarian king and and cc.
Mortars are not a big threat to this strategy because the killsquads main goal is to take out the cc and then hogs don’t really get hurt by mortars because they are so tanky. Of course they deal some damage but just drop your heals when need be 🙂🤘

One thing I would recommend is a rage with the kill squad, this is especially good if there is cc troops bc the wizards will do way more damage

Those two troops will help you tank the base and help the hogs to attack

This is more of a war attack strategy rather than a farming one because yeah the DE cost can be quite expensive 😅

They aren't such a problem while attacking a TH7, but the real problem is the clan castle troops and the giant bombs

Just pull the cc troop to the corner and use wiz to kill the drag. In th 7 only 1 drag can be inside the cc
