PT 1/2 i have so much respect for Linehan and a growing one for Llewellyn. everything Rob is criticised for:being dull, false laughter, not being a F1 driver I admire: warm interest in his guests and allowing them to speak passionately. I agree with them on the music industry. But iTune's cornered the marketplace through software/hardware exclusivity not by encouraging innovation. Plus their facebook vs twitter argument sounded to me like recommending burger king over mcdonalds.
Linehan has an excellent comedy brain. Father Ted, Black Books and The IT Crowd were just about perfect. I really loved Count Arthur Strong too, especially "The Day The Clocks Went Back" and "Safari Park" - those episodes were brilliant.
Exactly guys! I got to watch all of Red Dwarf and IT Crowd on Netflix Instant Watch! It's about taking advantage of the distribution technology. Give me a reasonable option and you'll get your coin. But I'm done with buying DVD Box Sets for $200.
Microsoft Word 2013 has a little menu on the Home tab called "change case" which can fix the CAPS LOCK mistypes- at least when using that program. The ribbon's got a lot, if you can evolve fast enough to keep up, says the person only 3 years behind!
Lovely series. Thx CarpoolUK. It should go into Stephen Fry's "Room Lovely". I really dunno about the graphics in the intro though. I do however like the music. But that's by the by. Great series.
I missed this all originally, only just coming to the series but thanks a load Robert, this is a great series, though I don't watch the visual that often, more like a podcast, I apreciate the video when I can. Your style is great, I've seen some comments about how you're not doing it properly etc, tbh, fuck 'em, I'd hate to see Parkinson try and perform an interview in a Prius but I'd happily watch you do it, oh and a little more gushing, great work on the names you've been able to get.
10 years later Twitter has become a hotbed of lies and tack, its just become something like the Daily Mail written by anyone no matter what your base intelligence is. Maybe Titter should be called "the good the bad the ugly" ;D - Great show, Love Graham and Robert.

the internet is easy to regulate. i don't think they actually lose that much money. compared to how much they make on itunes and the high street. the problem could easily be stopped but they can't be bothered.
Pt 2/2 Also for what i think they were meaning about using innovation. Louisck.com is a perfect example: 5000 dvds every hour first day of sale. comedian who just decided to sell his hour special for 5 bucks on the internet only with a polite letter to illegal downloaders asking if they would mind not sharing it. which they decided not to because they way he presented himself.
I've put off joining twitter... until i watched this. Now i'm curious. @24:14 >"with windows 7, i think it'll all change" heh, speaking of dating. When was this recorded?
I remember watching this back in 2010 when I hated Twitter so I was hating on them just talking about it all the time, but in the last 3 years I have got addicted to it. I hear Graham was banned from Twitter last week which reminded me of this episode. Be interesting to know if Robert was still a fan of Graham when he began being obsessed with feminism on Twitter.
What a difference a decade makes for GL, from influential writer to a has been obsessed with destroying a minority (all because a trans woman turned down his advances, nothing worse than a chaser scorned). He sacrificed his career and even his marriage to his alter of hatred, it'd be pathetic and funny were he not trying to hurt innocent people in the process.
Work in the NHS, go there for treatment several times, then comment. You don't get owt for nowt, it will never work, it works sometimes OF COURSE, but sometimes with peoples lives is just not good enough. Just because you're left wing you don't have to support a left wing idea that doesn't work, it's politics not religion.
2010 seems like a different world.
Even more so now
Behind that intelligent, witty, Irish voice is the most important men in comedy history.
What a shame WOKEDOM cancelled him because he believes actual science as opposed to woke dogma
Love listening to Graham Linehan talk !

One of the best writers in TV history. True legend.
How the mighty have fallen :-(
@@richbuilds_com he is still brill, great guy
Fantastic bloke
The lower-budget British forerunner to Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee!
This man is a GENIUS.
"You're always an idiot in retrospect." So true!!
I love this programme! I love how unnecessary the driving element is.
I'm sitting here watching these interviews. It's like watching friends talking to each other. Blame it on the potion of motion

on the other hand hippies
Great episode.
Been addicted to these in the past few days...

+Gavin Mackie Anymore labels?
Nautilus1972 Nah! Said my piece.
at 22.20 had to google "google wave". long discontinued. how right they were !
BUY the Red Dwarf DVDs - the commentary by the cast is worth the price alone. I don't think u get the commentary in torrent etc. downloads.
I met him last night he was so nice!
"Live tv can blow up in your face"
"Scary Irish men"

This interview was from 2010.
Word 2010 has that button too. I just checked.
I am always surprised how much Word actually can do. The interface designer does a great job hiding everything in the most counterintuitive way.
Lovely series. Thx CarpoolUK. It should go into Stephen Fry's "Room Lovely". I really dunno about the graphics in the intro though. I do however like the music. But that's by the by. Great series.
Was Graham trying to hint that he wanted Bob as a writing partner?!!!
No, I think he was just emphasising how much he missed the relationship he used to have with Arthur Matthews.
I actually cheered when I saw the iron man pic!

Reading between the lines, was Graham asking Robert to co-write with him?
Ohhh you've turned off replies...
@cardiffwilly apparently it's intended to create a sense of informality as a posed to normal interview

Linehan should work with Peter Baynham if he hasnt already.
"Right-wing, Nazi Facebook". Most accurate description of facebook ever.
Facebook has a dystopian feel to it, but I wouldn't go so far as to liken it to the Nazi's.
anyone got the link to Graham's twitpic?
Go on Glinner!!
I have this little click in my knee, and when it goes, I think oh I'm gonna die :)
Dear Graham, Thank you for introducing me, through your IT Crowd set, to Boards of Canada, and so much other goodness...
Did he do this before Seinfeld did coffee with comedians?
Sorry. Did my own research. Jerry ripped this off.

Good on ya Glinner!
40?
I wonder if he still has the same opinion of the NHS after the revelation the thousands of people died unnecessarily at Mid Staffs Hospital?

Little did they realise back then that Liberal extremists on social media would end up banning free speech
Lol what? He got turned down by a trans woman? 😂
Liberals were more tolerant back then. All went to shit and here you are spouting baseless claims.
