Oh I’m so glad Debra! Me too, haha. I do deviate occasionally, but I honestly love vintage. I’m happy that you will be along with me, as usual. Thank you for coming by!
There is just something so soothing about vintage. It just seems to evoke the best memories and feelings about days gone by. I love all that you do Kathleen, but this series is going to be special. ❤❤ Hugs 🤗 to you
Great overview of vintage style! Love your mood board. You mentioned etsy as a source for vintage ephemera. There are also lots of vintage sellers on eBay. I've found stamps and postal ephemera, vintage paper ephemera, old photographs, postcards, and vintage seam binding - often at reasonable prices.
@@CreativeCrisis-Art Thanks so much! I’m so glad you came by this morning. I love your EBay suggestion. I tend to forget about EBay sometimes, and it’s such a great place to find things. As you say, prices are very reasonable.
Your explanation, as always, is clear and easy to understand. You make everything look beautiful. I wish I had more time right now, because you made me want to try to make a vintage style journal!
Ah! Vintage is definitely my favorite style! Most of my Journals are created in this style. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos. This has been such a fun series! 😃❤️
I only make vintage style journals, so I have been eagerly anticipating this series. I was thrilled to see this video pop up this morning. I hope to see how you use a pen nib in the journal.
You do a great job on describing different types of journals and I love your mood boards. Now I need to keep an eye out for a "Catchpenny Prints" book. Great video ☺♥
Thank you so much Mrs mower for your hard work In making those GORGEOUS masterpieces they look so BEAUTIFUL, I love that vintage style so much, bless your hands! , by the way I was looking for making an art Nouveau & vintage style journal can you please give me some tips for that?
@@Mr.Amr_Azlureston Thank you so much! I’m glad you came by. I just recently made such a journal, in an Art Nouveau style. Here is a link for that video Dreamy Artsy Boho Junk Journal th-cam.com/video/Dm2g1YZaqbQ/w-d-xo.html I hope there are some ideas in there. You could gather feathers, for sure. Stenciling is a perfect enhancement for Nouveau. I have found a lot of Nouveau images in the image collection at the New York Public LIbrary. Just search for art nouveau. Fibers, such as yarns and silks are really important to that look, and seed beads, charms, etc. Good luck - I hope you have fun!
The dollar tree stickers are sweet. Looking forward to this series!
Kathleen, again more great tips and suggestions. I am so looking forward to this creation❣ Hugs and stay well.
Thanks so much Ina, I really appreciate your kind words!
