Todays advent calendar yarn is beautiful. Im loving seeing the fades! I love watching your vids daily. It helps cheer me up. Makes my day better. It also makes me want to knit and crochet faster and more time each day. Lol. So many things I want to make and seeing how many you get done every week, Im just like, I can do that too. Why am I not getting that much done? Lol. Well, last week I had 2 surgical procedures and am recovering from those, I have chronic lung failure so I have to rest a lot even from something so simple as knitting or crocheting even laying down. Lol. Resting from resting. I guess thats why I dont get as much done. It is good to have things to do, plan ahead, etc. For awhile, I wasnt planning on any future nor were my drs but they found a couple meds that work really well. It was almost like coming back from the dead. Absolutely amazing and unexpected. Im permanently bedridden still, but I have some energy and can do knitting and crochet again and be productive. I will get done what I get done before Christmas, and everything else can be surprises later. Lol. I love doing those, too. Randomly sending gifts. :D I did start a new hat this morning. 😂 It's for one of my nieces. I made one for her sister and was going to get her something else, but decided finally to do a hat but had to wait for special yarn to get here. She has severe allergies even to most fibers. Pretty much 100% cotton is the only choice, but I wanted it super soft so I bought Berlini Mako Cotton. Im loving it. These nieces lost their mom, my sister, suddenly and tragically 2 years ago. She and I were very close and I try to do the things for them that she would. She used to sew awesome things for them. I hate sewing but love knit and crochet. So handmade still, just different. One loves colorful so she gets the rainbow lattice hat I made from your tutorial. The other only wears gray and black for now. So she will get a black hat. With patterns knit into it, so not plain, anyway. Made with love, thats all that matters. Gotta zip through it today to get it mailed asap. Sorry for my meandery comments. 😂 That's just how I am. Thank you for your cheerful uplifting encouraging spirit and for doing all these fun things with your hair. It's fun to see each new style. Today's is like Cindy Lauper but make it 1940s. Fun! My hair is kept between 1/4" and 1" cuz it makes life as an invalid much easier. I used to do all the fun things with my hair. Now I just do them with my daughters hair when she comes to visit. ❤ Have a great day!
I love giving little gifts that people can use and enjoy. She has enjoyed these for a lot of years. It’s nice when people appreciate the simple things.
It's a great advent calendar, isn't it? I hadn’t thought about it but you’ve got a point. When you consider you are getting 820 grams of yarn 8.2 full skeins plus all the extras, cute packaging etc. It’s a great deal.
Hi! Your hair is awesome! Matches the new colour from Aberdeen's. Funny, I went on a day trip yesterday and brought cotton/scrubby yarn to make dishcloths, taking a break from my current WIPs. I'm making a "Christmas" dishcloth for myself with very similar colours like the ones you used.
Oh wow! I guess we all needed to take a break from our regular projects to make a dishcloth. This scrubby and cotton yarn works perfectly for what it is. Makes a great cloth with lots of texture. It’s not my favorite to work with but the final product is perfect for intended use.
For the fur yarn, how you did it looks really nice. It kind of gives the hat a bit of fur lining. I have seen someone use a technique with eyelash yarn and crochet that should work just the same with knitting. The channel is Tatjana Ozolina, and it is How to crochet with Eyelashes Yarn. It looks super easy and super effective. She holds the eyelash or fur yarn on the side of the project it will be on, and then crochets with the main yarn of the project so the main yarn stitch comes under the fur yarn and over it and then the stitch is completed. I haven't tried it yet but she does a great tutorial on it.
That's a great suggestion, I will check out that tutorial! It sounds like the crochet version of what I did. Locking the fir yarn in place without needing to see it. Using just enough of the embellishment yarn to get the effect desired. I wanted this to look for lined.
@@anotheryarnyes. She does it every stitch but on yours I can see how skipping stitches can work beautifully too. I will mess around with both methods when I finally get to some of my novelty yarn projects. Might take awhile. Multiple sweaters, cardigans, hats, shawls, wraps, blankets in the queue. Though some of them could use some embellishment so maybe sooner.
I found you because Cinnamon Stitches mentioned you. I don't knit, but love watch what you create. It makes me want to try. I learn to crochet as an adult. Never could learn as a child. I currently me a blanket of colorful granny squares for my niece. Maybe after the New Year I might try watch a learn to knit video. Loving your advent calendar. How early to you have to order to make sure you get one? Would love to get one for next year.
I am so glad you found me! It’s fun to see how others enjoy this crafting journey of crocheting and/or knitting. I like Jennifer, I remember watching her learning how to knit. I was so impressed.

Have a great day!
I love your hair long. It makes you look younger. Mine is short for the younger look.
Thank you, I like the “big hair” every once in a while. It’s fun and quirky
Lol love the bed hair.
Sometimes you have to rock the wild hair. ☺️
Good morning Shannon your know hat is going to look amazing ! Wow it's day 15 of Tangled Poet !So beatfull!
I can't wait to see the finished gnome hat. I think doing the semi weave in of the fur was a good way to add it in without sewing it afterwards.
Hi Shannon, hope you have a great day! Beautiful advent yarn! 🧶🫂
You too, thanks for the sweet message. We are hoping for a relaxed day. We did a lot of errands yesterday and were both tired.
Love the hair. Formal in the front, party in the back. 😂 Super fun.
I’m loving the wild flair on the hair today.
So sweet to do that for your daughters mother-in-law. I love the creative washcloths and the fun way to arrange them to gift.
I love giving little gifts that people can use and enjoy. She has enjoyed these for a lot of years. It’s nice when people appreciate the simple things.
@@anotheryarn It sure is. Great for both giver and receiver. I think my kids are finally starting to understand that in their mid and late 20s! 😂
Hi Shannon, I can't wait to see your hat. I know it will be beautiful. Love the yarn.
It is a beautiful yarn. The colorway is so vibrant! The little gnomes are working up really nicely.
I can't wait to see the gnome hat when you finish! Love your hair. Super cute dishcloths 🌻
Thank you! 😊, I’ve started the colors for the gnome, it’s working up really well.
The gnome hat is going to be adorable ❤
This gnome hat is so lovely and soft with the Alpaca yarn too.
Of my neck, that gnome beanie is TOO CUTE!!
Isn’t that cool with the fur? It’s more woven into the knitting, I didn’t want to see it on, would you?
Cute little gnome. I've never heard of thumming. I had to look it up. Very interesting.
I’ve seen it but have never tried it. I know it’s supposed to make things really warm.
The gnome hat! Love it
It’s turning out so cute. I love that fur trim too.
I don’t typically like yellow, but those golds are awesome!
They really are and go so well with the autumn 🍂 in the advent
Beautiful #15 And yes, I knew you’d make that gnome hat.😅
I guess I was only deluding myself.
Thrumming seems so cool! I’d love to try it sometime!!
I agree, I’ve seen it, never tried it. I wonder if it’s similar to what I just did 🤷♀️
Thanks Shannon. Love the big hair. Why not?!
Exactly, sometimes you just have to see how big you can get it 😆
Aberdeen's really did a nice job. I'll buy again next year!

Missed a few videos,, had a beautiful wedding event this past weekend, playing catch up 😊
I’m sure you had a wonderful time going to a wedding. So happy you had a great weekend

Thank you, sometimes you have to let the “wild” show
