This has got to be the worst “detailed look” of an interior I have ever seen. You literally showed 20% of the front dash. No seats, no door panels, no rear seats, no roof, literally nothing else. Absolute FAIL

If the Ford Motor Company continues to build on the success and brand name of their "Ford Explorer" instead of changing it all together or making too many changes that impact what they had done well in previous versions, no one will be able to beat it.

I like the grill on the Platinum. I wish there was a black interior option. I notice only 1 wireless charger when the area looks big enough for 2. Since this is a family oriented vehicle, it would seem to make sense to have 2 chargers available. The ST looks good as well, especially the interior. The new wheels are a step down IMO. The current heavy spoked black wheels give it the muscular look the ST should have. The new wheels would really kill the murdered out look on a black ST.

The new ST is garbage compared to the current model. New one looks so soft. The front looks soft and dated and the new wheels are horrible

It is very hard to add to a perfectly beautiful vehicle since it came out. You can bring out this first generation of the Explorer and people would say nice vehicle.

Ok so I know the captain's seats are cool and all and offer easy access to the back row, but as a family car, the bench option was really a nice option to have to seat 7 instead of 6. Of course, drivers like more power so the car gets out of its own way too. But, Ford did a stupid again and made it impossible to have a bench second row AND the 3.0 V6. The ST doesn't even offer the bench at all and the Platinum makes you choose between the engine and the seat. Like seriously, wth. Some people aren't comfortable putting baby seats in the back row for a number of reasons.
They had these options in 2023. I guess refreshing the "look" of a car means screwing with basics like seating??

My choice is always to buy a new or used Ford vehicle, but I noticed that it is a company that is still failing in building transmissions. I owned two Ford cars with a commitment to maintaining them, but the transmissions break down. Not only do I have many Ford owners in locations where transmissions break down. The transmission includes the Ford Explorer, Fusion, etc. It is shameful for a company that is more than a hundred years old and has not yet achieved perfection in the transmissions in all of its cars. Therefore, from today, I will not buy a new Ford at all, perhaps a used one, because I know that the transmission will break down in the near future. Thanks for the short video. I did not like the new generation’s front and cramped interior, as if you were inside the cabin of a Corolla or Camry

Interesting. I have owned 12 Fords with number 13 on order (25 Explorer). Have honestly never had a transmission issue or anything else major go wrong with any of them. I do keep up on maintainance, fluid changes etc.

Love the refresh, but very disappointed in the colors for the Platinum. Blue offered in ST, but not Platinum. I’ve never purchased a car in a color I don’t love.. I’ll stick with my blue 21..

This is lame, especially the interior,
    when compared to the Chinese
    market version. Just a cosmetic
makeover for the U.S. version while
the Chinese get a restyled Explorer
with a display screen the full width
of the dash. Check out the video here
    on TH-cam.

The Chinese market Explorer should have been the one given to America this year, not this. I was so excited, and I am now underwhelmed. Missed opportunity.

Wish you had ask: "Why doesn't Ford offer deletion of the WORTHLESS 3rd row seat on any or ALL models?" I want the higher end vehicle with a flat floor behind the 2nd row and Captain's chair 2nd row WITH 4wd! NO! Not allowed! Get rid of the $2500 3rd row!

    • @66skate
      @66skate 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Nobody makes an SUV that big with only 2 seats. Not likely much interest because the price would be too high and only practical to carry cargo. You need a mini van.

Does the new Ford Explorer LEAK black exhaust fluid! I have a 2022 King Ranch 3.0L Eco Boost V-6 I am constantly wiping up black exhaust drippings on my garage floor. I have two other vehicles and they do not leak anything. Service manager at Ford tells me to put a piece of card board to protect the floor. $60,000 for a vehicle that leaks not again unless Ford can convince me this problem is solved.

Sure glad I bought the "Limited" version. That's got 90% of gadgets, which with traffic is not safe to use. Also fuel economy is great on the 2.3 4 cyl engine. That 6 cyl engine drinks gas. No economy there. All the fancy video screen and the backup camera still has "bugs."

Did they make the seat bottom longer for normal height people so your legs are supported? On the 24 model l checked out the seat ends at half the length of my legs leaving them with no support and I'm only 5-11! Would be terribly uncomfortable on a long trip.
