Proper death metal with variety in tempos and actual songwriting involved, and proper melodic lead guitar, who'da thunk it? Oh, and a live mix where you can actually hear the bass for once and appreciate the depth it adds to the guitars. I really dug this album back in the early 90's and played it a LOT. Not to mention it looked like these guys put on a great live show, too, not just standing there and windmilling away and not allowing themselves to have fun. I think I need another copy of this album, stat.

Me too dude. They used to run another show after for a while here in the UK called 'into the pit', which had the good stuff. Wish I still had my VHS copies of what I'd recorded, lot of gold on there.

Dude wish i seen these guys live. This is what i wish metal still was. Sweet riffs and good drums. Now its less good, i feel new metal is lame. Dislike slipknot and similar bands. These guys are better then slipknot in my opinion. However some will disagree. I like the guitars and his voice better personally. I like album false alot. Others are good as well.
I wish the recorded studio version of the actual song sounded this great. It really sounds bad on the recording. This song and band in general is awesome.

What copy are you basing this on? I have an original CD from Nuclear Blast and the sound is crushing! It's one of the albums I revisit frequently.
