How should i consider shear force (with TBEX) when plate of T-beam is fixed in abutment crossbeam? I get lower values of shear force in beam elements compared to values when using ortotropic quads (with QUEMX AND QUEA)
Thank you for the extremely interesting video! Are the quad elements based on the Kirchhoff or on the Mindling-Reissner theory? Is any further documentation on this topic available?
Hello tobiadig, We use a Mindlin Theory with shear stiffness and shear deformation. 4-noded QUADs with nonconforming shape functions. You can find more information in the ASE manual.
Hallo Herr Bellman! Verbleiben nach dem letzten Step in Ase über den Befehl tbex Normalkräfte in dem Balkenelement. Beste Grüße

Please could you define castellated beam in sofistik such as ETABS ?
Great tutorial, however in isotropic behaviour it seems the dead load is doubled for the plate
