The fact that I was in Annie with her in Rolla Mo when she was in college and I remember being in one of her assignments for a class and now she's on Broadway. Peoples dreams definitely can come true, even if you come from a little town like Rolla.
Her singing is good, but her phrasing in all of the songs I've heard is horrendous. And she doesn't project her voice so her voice sounds so quiet. I really want to like her though!
A lot of it was also due to her mic placement. Still, thoughts not to say she didn't have things to work on. However, she DEFINITELY improved her voice. Like WOW level factor. Her singing in the Mean Girls OBC recording is just amazing. No wonder she was nominated for Tony.
