- HO-OPONO-PONO !!! Ho’oponopono is an effective and easy-to-practice reflection - or better still, correction - a technique that doesn’t take more than a few minutes. More importantly, you can practice the method within any space and at any time.
In the Hawaii culture, Ho’oponopono is a common practice to forgive oneself, purify the body, and remove bad memories. The word “Ho’oponopono” literarily refers to “make things right” or “correct a mistake.” Thus, the concept is about putting things back in order; one is having a mental cleansing. Although some native Hawaiians often chant Ho’oponopono like a prayer, it’s something much more. The practice is a useful tool for amending our consciousness and relationships with others.
Practicing Ho’oponopono helps us express our feelings openly and release ourselves from emotional and mental bondages. When you practice Ho’oponopono, you’ll gain the strength and courage to reflect, repent, forgive, love, and show gratitude. The phenomenon allows you to use special words to reveal your emotions and exercise genuine forgiveness. This works because the concept of Ho’oponopono is based on the fact that everyone is responsible for his/her reality.
