Zitao has really matured a lot.. He got a lot of hate for leaving Exo and I hope that this interview allows other people to see his reasons for leaving. Many people feel that he, kris and luhan has betrayed exo and exo-ls because of their departure but they don't have to live for someone else. If they're not happy, if they're enduring pain so that someone else's feeling don't get hurt then they have every right to do what makes them happy. As I watched this interview I cried because of how much pain he had to endure for all those years. And even though he was harsh on Kris for leaving, I'm glad that he now understands Kris' point of view. Even now when he has more freedom to do his own thing, I still feel like he's constantly watched as people are waiting for him to make a mistake. He's so kind and precious I just don't understand why he gets so much hate. I hope the other exo members, kris and luhan will support him in the future. I will always be his fan and support him in every decision he makes and just hopes that he can have a successful future where he enjoys life to the fullest :)

Shooting ' brightest star in the sky ' made me realize how great, amazing, independent, romantic, kind, passionate he is when it comes to himself and music. Sm just filed 14 lawsuits against luhan, kris, and Tao in China . Legally they are all still SM artists just not in Exo. If they lose the cases I don't think the will have much of a career left but I doubt SM would put them back in Exo I just wish the best for them

It seems like he's been through alot of injuries his whole life. I hope he's happy and more healthy now. I can't believe they made him perform with an injury but it's not surprising because kpop idols have to do what they're told no matter how sick or injured they are which sickens me I wish kpop idols had the freedom american artists have. Some fans of american artists are always complaining that management controls them or doesn't let them rest and yes they may be true for some artists (sadly) it's no where near the level of control management has over kpop idols. American artists have a lot more freedom compared to kpop artists or most Korean artists in general. Anyway I hope he's happy and I hope one day these companies will change and realize these artists need more freedom and less control and some rest.
But kpop was influenced from how the western side treated there artists like 1D for example suffred alot and they went through hell and worked had with out no break
I have always thought that when we say we like an Idol, what we really like is a staged, built-up and orchestrated character. I don't believe that we like the real person because we don't really get to see who they really are in their personal space, even those "natural" moments we see are all cherry-picked and choreographed by the company, it's a façade they learn to build with all those years of training, and that's okay. The whole Kpop Industry is based upon building fantasies of idealised people, and while sometimes it backfires (like when people get upset over dating "scandals" because it breaks the fantasy of them belonging to the fans alone and being available) it makes people happy and lets them forget Real Life worries for a moment which, in the end, is the ultimate goal of any kind of entertainment. With that said, I am honestly not surprised that some people are no longer liking Tao after he left EXO precisely because he is no longer the made-up character they grew to like for all these years. He is, at best, showing more of his true self or at least showing a character/personality he is more comfortable with but still, hardly the same person he was presented as before and that was the biggest blow to some of his former fans. I think it's okay if someone doesn't like who he is as an artist anymore, but I don't think it's okay to bash him for it. Yes, he is basically backtracking on his own accusations after Kris left; yes, he has put even more pressure on Lay; yes, he has put his foot in his mouth repeatedly... but he has already apologised for it so I don't understand what else do you expect him to do. Go back in time? Sorry but that superpower is not the fantasy he belongs to anymore.
I will always support Tao. Whether it is music or acting, I'm just happy that he is taking care of his health and following his heart. I love you Huang zitao ❤
Wow he really has matured so much. You could tell a couple years ago that hate really got to him internally, but now he sees the reality that people will dislike you no matter what, so it's best to just follow your heart. Take your own strides and people will naturally come along side you. I'm also glad that his father cares so much for him. Judging by past SM lawsuits, it'll be a while before anything is settled, but I still hope he wins if he's in the right. Its good that he's happy doing Mandopop and I hope Mandopop gets as much global recognition as kpop has (as a Chinese American, I latch on to Korean and Japanese pop culture because Chinese pop culture is hard to find in the US and on English sites and some representation is better than nothing). I also hope he grows even more in popularity and that haters turn to fans :)
I'm so proud of Tao, he's such an honest and frank person and I really appreciate that, because I am also a straightforward person. When people are clammed up and don't really give a straight answer it annoys me a lot. I understand sometimes you have to be like that in the show industry, but fans will never understand the true story and make many assumptions. I actually like him more as a solo artist than in a group, I will always miss seeing him in exo, but now I can see more of his colors true personality as a matured person, as well as what made me choose him as a bias in the first place. #hailangforever

Seeing Tao alone had struggled to communicate in a foreign land at a young age really breaks my heart. It's like some of the dark sides in a Kpop industry is that you will probably be alone for a while because you can't communicate (unless you know Korean you are in more luck than those who don't)

I only recently got into EXO. I think the first video I saw was Call me baby and Tao was the only 1 that stood out to me. Then I saw other vids that included him and he was becoming someone I always looked for. I was disappointed to hear he'd been injured and eventually left the group. I'm glad he's well now and is doing good in China. I hope also that he wasn't actually lonely in EXO. I'd like to think that he was/is able to maintain some friendships with the current members.
He still close to Luhan and was very close to Sehun, Suho and Baekhyun. Sehun traveled to his hometown and met all his family and friends once and then he traveled again with Tao and Suho in China. Baekhyun said in First Box that whenever he didn't wanted to sleep he would go to either Suho or Tao's room.

I love his openness and honestly can't wait for him to win his case and tell us everything he's had to hold back. There's so much theorizing around these controversies that we need someone like Tao to set everything straight. Also I want to be able to actually purchase his music. Also that's amazing that he's helping his deaf/mute friend and respecting his wishes and not using him as a publicity stunt. EXO fans be attacking his integrity for leaving the group but in my opinion that means he has more.

the Taoris ship brought me to know and love Tao and when he was in Exo I became more a Hailang than a Exo-L. I never understand the haters but I don't care about them. The more they bashed on him the more I love him and support him. I said it before I wish the best to Exo and the others but Tao has all my support and he is #1 in my heart. I'm so proud of him!

Thank you for uploading and providing subtitles. Tao's only one year older than me but I couldn't see myself in his shoes. He has such a huge fire burning inside of him, a real passion for life and yet he seems like a really really sad person. Maybe I'm wrong but I just feel like life has beaten him up real hard and even though he keeps moving forward and achieving so much, he's just been crushed a bit too hard and deep down he is hurting.
The only thing that I did not like that he did was judge the rest for leaving because he eventually left as well but I guess as he said he was young and reckless at that time and just said whatever came to his mind. I think this is one of the biggest reasons for criticism of him. However, I am glad he is happy and still being able to do what he loves.

I was first intrigued by Tao because he has a very feline appearance in his face, it is very pretty. But then I started to learn more about him and realized that he is very kind hearted. Naturally, I know he has great vocals and dance ability. One doesn't simply make it big time in a group if not talented.. I also respect his vast knowledge on Martial Arts, it is something I love to learn about myself. I hope he is much happier now that he has broken away from the K-Pop scene and is doing his own thing now.

Actually, the stress is the same and nothing changed BUT there is one thing for what I am soo happy for tao now: in EXO he had one specific role he had to play, the ABstyle -Panda -walking alone on the beachside never-showering-alone Tao. Now he is Huang Zitao, an individual, honest and innocent (which always made him stand out) yet confident and hardworking and reaaally stubborn hahaha. It was and is and will be still a long way but still, I am proud of him.
After watching this interview, I amazed by Zitao's maturity. Its like seeing someone who was once so afraid of the dark learn that there are things more terrifying that darkness. I despised Tao after him leaving the group. I called him a hypocrite in my mind, selfish and arrogant to think that he could stand on his own. I thought that his being injured was just a sham because of course he actually wanted the lime light for himself... but after watching this interview I am reminded of why I like Zitao during the early days... he was full of innocence, he was a child at heart and now after all the tainting has been done... Seeing this new Tao, a strong mature one.. someone who has been too much heat and friction I believe he would become a diamond... he'd shine so bright and enlighten once more. :)

I'm proud of him at the same time I'm kind of sad because he was the one who spoke his disagreement the loudest and he did so without knowing the reason why he did so or even finding out the truth behind his behavior. I loved the way luhan handle the situation, he didn't cut off contact nor did he speak harshly without thinking. I think that's something he will have to work is his ability to evaluate when it good to speak and when its not, its good to be straightforward but their is a difference between being straightforward and speaking out of ignorance. When it comes to situations like this you can't really say anything as the team member, at least not something as harsh as what he did without finding his side of the story. Although I love him, I think he is real mature but he still need to improve on things because if he is quick to respond without finding out complete truth he might find himself in a bit of a trouble. Anyone think SM pushes them sweet boys too much.. Tao got extremely hurt while they're just sitting there watching the boys work, earning the money. They work extremely hard to be where they are. Sm just filed 14 lawsuits against luhan, kris, and Tao in China . Legally they are all still SM artists just not in Exo. If they lose the cases I don't think the will have much of a career left but I doubt SM would put them back in Exo I just wish the best for them

It seems like he's been through alot of injuries his whole life. I hope he's happy and more healthy now. I can't believe they made him perform with an injury but it's not surprising because kpop idols have to do what they're told no matter how sick or injured they are which sickens me I wish kpop idols had the freedom american artists have. Some fans of american artists are always complaining that management controls them or doesn't let them rest and yes they may be true for some artists (sadly) it's no where near the level of control management has over kpop idols. American artists have a lot more freedom compared to kpop artists or most Korean artists in general. Anyway I hope he's happy and I hope one day these companies will change and realize these artists need more freedom and less control and some rest.
But kpop was influenced from how the western side treated there artists like 1D for example suffred alot and they went through hell and worked had with out no break

I have always thought that when we say we like an Idol, what we really like is a staged, built-up and orchestrated character. I don't believe that we like the real person because we don't really get to see who they really are in their personal space, even those "natural" moments we see are all cherry-picked and choreographed by the company, it's a façade they learn to build with all those years of training, and that's okay. The whole Kpop Industry is based upon building fantasies of idealised people, and while sometimes it backfires (like when people get upset over dating "scandals" because it breaks the fantasy of them belonging to the fans alone and being available) it makes people happy and lets them forget Real Life worries for a moment which, in the end, is the ultimate goal of any kind of entertainment.
With that said, I am honestly not surprised that some people are no longer liking Tao after he left EXO precisely because he is no longer the made-up character they grew to like for all these years. He is, at best, showing more of his true self or at least showing a character/personality he is more comfortable with but still, hardly the same person he was presented as before and that was the biggest blow to some of his former fans.
I think it's okay if someone doesn't like who he is as an artist anymore, but I don't think it's okay to bash him for it. Yes, he is basically backtracking on his own accusations after Kris left; yes, he has put even more pressure on Lay; yes, he has put his foot in his mouth repeatedly... but he has already apologised for it so I don't understand what else do you expect him to do. Go back in time? Sorry but that superpower is not the fantasy he belongs to anymore.
I will always support Tao. Whether it is music or acting, I'm just happy that he is taking care of his health and following his heart. I love you Huang zitao ❤
Wow he really has matured so much. You could tell a couple years ago that hate really got to him internally, but now he sees the reality that people will dislike you no matter what, so it's best to just follow your heart. Take your own strides and people will naturally come along side you.
I'm also glad that his father cares so much for him. Judging by past SM lawsuits, it'll be a while before anything is settled, but I still hope he wins if he's in the right. Its good that he's happy doing Mandopop and I hope Mandopop gets as much global recognition as kpop has (as a Chinese American, I latch on to Korean and Japanese pop culture because Chinese pop culture is hard to find in the US and on English sites and some representation is better than nothing). I also hope he grows even more in popularity and that haters turn to fans :)
I'm so proud of Tao, he's such an honest and frank person and I really appreciate that, because I am also a straightforward person. When people are clammed up and don't really give a straight answer it annoys me a lot. I understand sometimes you have to be like that in the show industry, but fans will never understand the true story and make many assumptions. I only recently got into EXO. I think the first video I saw was Call me baby and Tao was the only 1 that stood out to me. Then I saw other vids that included him and he was becoming someone I always looked for. I was disappointed to hear he'd been injured and eventually left the group. I'm glad he's well now and is doing good in China. I hope also that he wasn't actually lonely in EXO. I'd like to think that he was/is able to maintain some friendships with the current members.

Tao's only one year older than me but I couldn't see myself in his shoes. He has such a huge fire burning inside of him, a real passion for life and yet he seems like a really really sad person. Maybe I'm wrong but I just feel like life has beaten him up real hard and even though he keeps moving forward and achieving so much, he's just been crushed a bit too hard and deep down he is hurting.
The only thing that I did not like that he did was judge the rest for leaving because he eventually left as well but I guess as he said he was young and reckless at that time and just said whatever came to his mind. I think this is one of the biggest reasons for criticism of him. However, I am glad he is happy and still being able to do what he loves.

I was first intrigued by Tao because he has a very feline appearance in his face, it is very pretty. But then I started to learn more about him and realized that he is very kind hearted. Naturally, I know he has great vocals and dance ability. One doesn't simply make it big time in a group if not talented.. I also respect his vast knowledge on Martial Arts, it is something I love to learn about myself. I hope he is much happier now that he has broken away from the K-Pop scene and is doing his own thing now.

Actually, the stress is the same and nothing changed BUT there is one thing for what I am soo happy for tao now: in EXO he had one specific role he had to play, the ABstyle -Panda -walking alone on the beachside never-showering-alone Tao. Now he is Huang Zitao, an individual, honest and innocent (which always made him stand out) yet confident and hardworking and reaaally stubborn hahaha. It was and is and will be still a long way but still, I am proud of him.
After watching this interview, I amazed by Zitao's maturity. Its like seeing someone who was once so afraid of the dark learn that there are things more terrifying that darkness. I despised Tao after him leaving the group. I called him a hypocrite in my mind, selfish and arrogant to think that he could stand on his own. I thought that his being injured was just a sham because of course he actually wanted the lime light for himself... but after watching this interview I am reminded of why I like Zitao during the early days... he was full of innocence, he was a child at heart and now after all the tainting has been done... Seeing this new Tao, a strong mature one.. someone who has been too much heat and friction I believe he would become a diamond... he'd shine so bright and enlighten once more. :)

I'm proud of him at the same time I'm kind of sad because he was the one who spoke his disagreement the loudest and he did so without knowing the reason why he did so or even finding out the truth behind his behavior. I loved the way luhan handle the situation, he didn't cut off contact nor did he speak harshly without thinking. I think that's something he will have to work is his ability to evaluate when it good to speak and when its not, its good to be straightforward but their is a difference between being straightforward and speaking out of ignorance. When it comes to situations like this you can't really say anything as the team member, at least not something as harsh as what he did without finding his side of the story. Although I love him, I think he is real mature but he still need to improve on things because if he is quick to respond without finding out complete truth he might find himself in a bit of a trouble. I want three of them to grow, mature, succeed , thrive and win this case just like Hangeng gege

Anyone think SM pushes them sweet boys too much.. Tao got extremely hurt while they're just sitting there watching the boys work, earning the money. They work extremely hard to be where they are.
