- How to groom a long haired dog breed with blending scissors? In this video you learn 2 techniques on how to do just that. Sasha the Lhasa Apso is groomed short with a top knot with some influence from Asian Style. By using the Utsumi carbon comb and Yento blending scissors Kitty Dekeersgieter gives Sasha a natural and beautiful coat.

the scissoring is amazing the coat looks beautiful. my lhasa however would not put up with the hair teasing and bows.
Hello Catharine , thank you for your message . to put in elastics and bows , we recommend to start with it on a very young age . So they get used to it . however some dogs don't like it. thank you for your very nice feedback .

Hello Toby, thank you so much for your kind words, I would love to do that but I personally don't have a grooming shop anymore which does not make it easier to achieve. Let me think about this and see what we can do.
I have a Lhasa Apso that looks almost identical to Sasha. She is almost 6 and never been trimmed. I groom her myself at home but not sure I'd have the confidence to trim her. Thank you for this video - it's helpful what she would look like scissored. I hope I can find a groomer to do this, at least to get her started. I really don't want her to just be shaved, and I don't want to sacrifice her top knot. This looks like a really good cut for her. Thank you again. (Caroline the Lhasa Apso is my profile photo)

Hi there! To become a groomer here you need to go to grooming school and do internships with dog groomers as part of your education. Only when you have a valid certificate, you can become a groomer as your job. Kind regards
