Represents the sport the way a champion should. What a great and humble ambassador for Olympic weightlifting. 🏋️

Lu Xiaojun's funny; he said he only got 165+200 in training before Ashgabat and he's still not satisfied with 172+202?
He says he normally weighs about 80kg (80.4kg after eating); he wants to be 83 or 84 and drop to 81 but he's just not gaining weight. The good news is that that allows him to live and eat normally pre-competition, and it's a big difference showing up to competition full and refreshed from being tortured half to death from weight loss. While everyone else is starving and just trying not to faint in the sauna, he's had dinner last night and is going to lunch at noon!
So these guys had to watch Lu Xiaojun eat chicken wings and drink beer while their own eyes are sunken into their skulls from starvation and dehydration, and then they had to watch him take the gold medal LOL.

Whatever77054 I think it’s because he has lifted more at 77kg. He is older but I’m sure in the back of his mind, without the need to cut weight it would even out so he should be closer to his old numbers. Not to mention the young lifter who is very close behind him.

I'm waiting him for him to become coach. He already seems to be a bit of a mentor

godofpootdis wouldn’t be surprised. He’s very old to be in the sport. It’s okay though, he’s left a legacy and he’ll end it on a good note...
