When I was young, my father would take my brother and I out camping and he would always have us out helping set up camp so we could learn the skills for our future! I have fond memories of camping with my Dad and all the things he taught me to do it on my own! I hope your son learns a lot from you!

If you move your ground sheet closer to the van and have another at the back of the van you would not dirty your feet and bring dirt onto ground sheet or into van … just a thought
