So happy to find this. I heard Bo Grumpus play live some time in the late 90s at the Sacramento Jazz festival when I was a teenager. I played trombone at the time and hearing this traditional jazz was so inspirational and I remember then being in awe of Craig's acoustic guitar chops, and even more so now. Just wow. So happy to stumble upon this.
Wow! I’ve never seen such a complex fretboard arrangement. Hey, Craig. It’s nice to see that you’re still out there playing. My name’s Joe. I knew you briefly in 1989, when I did some busking with Joe Martin and Kwami. You were playing on Haight Street and at the cable car turnaround. My girlfriend and I caught you once at the Blue Lamp, too, with Bo Grumpus ( not sure if that’s spelled right). I heard you say on a podcast that you and Meredith frequently play live on TH-cam(?). I’d like to catch y’all some night and throw some $$$at ya.
I can see Craig shopping for a guitar. Well we have this one, it's excellent but it's missing those little frets way down the neck. Nobody ever uses those so that should not be a problem. Craig waving his arms and saying no deal, I realllly need those frets!
