I hired C3P0 last week, but I think I will have to let him go. Although he speaks over 6 million forms of communication, basic Spanish is not even in his skill set. So much for A.I.
The BLS numbers tells the story that over the past four years, there has been a noteworthy decline in white collared jobs while low wage part time services jobs have grown. This trend needs to be considered for all workers and those who are in post-secondary education preparing for the their future careers.

It’s because the people leading the tech industries are “these people” and the CEO’s of the world’s biggest tech companies are lead by “these” people(e.g. Amazon, Google,IBM,
AMD,World Wide Technology) etc. These “people” excelled in science and math while the “privileged” people became lazy and did poorly in high school math,science courses. By the way, “these people” will surpass the lazy “privileged” people in the high demand occupational specialties of law,healthcare(e.g. physicians) etc.

@@robgronsky4466 The “privilege” people have ridden on the coat tails of a few elite minds for centuries but the privileged masses are not very bright and do poorly in math and science oriented courses(e.g. engineering,computer science) and then want to take their insecurities out on successful blacks,Asians, Africans…..but “blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth”~Matthew 5:5

What rock have you been under lately? Now layoffs in tech are over 100K and counting. Also marketing, finance, quaility assurance and product management. More to come, tip of iceberg.

Finance is the way to go, get some kind of Finance and Accounting Certification and in you’re in demand..
I partially agree with you…but Healthcare(e.g Nursing , Physician Assistant, Radiology,
Pharmacology,Respiratory/Physical Therapy) will be the most high demand and highest paying occupations. Many of these “health” occupations require only 2 years of specialized education.
