I'm keeping this around the house as it is being used as a backup drive, so no case is really necessary for me but when storing, I use a Nintendo 2DS Carrying Case off Aliexpress. It can store 2 drives alongside with their cables.
@@digipopper Sir both are at same price. One touch silver colour is only little bit cheap so what to do? I am searching for 5 TB for my data safety of my 15+ years printing design work. Password encryption is not a factor. Only *Data* *Safety* is the priority.

Which basic model are you refering to? Though the actual HDD drive inside varies by region, for backup purposes, both drives featured in my video have served me well over the years. No fail, no lost data, no malfunction whatsoever.
It works completely fine still. I've been using it for backup purposes and sometimes I also share its content through the internal network with the following method: USB plugged in the Windows PC -> Right click on the desired folder -> Give access to -> Specific people -> Add Everyone -> Share. It reads just as it was a NAS. Try it someday!
I read that it has "automatic backup" what does that mean? I'm looking for an external harddrive to store photos on but I don't want it to automaticly backup all of my stuff on my computer. If you could help me with this question it would be so great. Thanks in advance!
Hey @kattungen96, the Automatic Backup feature is only available through the Seagate application for the HDD, so if you don't install that, it will not back up anything automatically.

In 9200 it is mentioned that 3 years data recovery but in 8600 it was not mentioned. So is that true ? Does 8600 ₹ not provide data recovery ? Also if I don't want that password protection than which one is good ? I have to make my 4.3 TB design data safe which is work of my 15+ years. Waiting for your reply. Thanks again.
By default it has no password protection, I think you would need an app for encoding the contents, but keeping your files secure locked behind a password WinRAR is also a good option with 0% compression rate. I can’t give a comment on the Chromebook compatibility though.

Whichever is cheaper in your country. There's no noticeable difference between the two, other than the form factor and the HDD's size inside.
