Someone mentioned here that she only has 10 percent eyesight. So hard to believe given how beautiful they are! Just one of her best features.....along with a world-class killer voice and stage presence! 👍👏🙏❤
And just like that - Singit Live throws me right back to Portland, Oregon in the early 1980s. All the boys are perfectly laying down that smooth groove... And Rachael nicely handles this tricky Rindy Ross solo. It has quite a range and requires that "done me wrong" believe-ability. Fantastic vibrato, Rachael! Thanks Darren for reminding everyone just how good Quarterflash was!
Great rendition! (I would sometimes get confused and think that this was originally Stevie Nicks on the vocals). The original was sung by Mindy Ross... who incidentally also played the saxophone solos. I remember seeing them in concert many many years ago, and was blown away when I realized Mindy was also playing the sax!
Awesome cover of this 1982 legend. Huge respect to SingitLive with special kudos to Rachel's vocals and Jack on sax. As has been commented on several occasions in past months, SingitLive has surpassed the old HSCC experience - and I would add exponentially passed.
I'm still learning the history of you guys. I'm newly subscribed and been watching for about 3 weeks now, every single day I'm watching videos over and over. Quality and sound is superb! I don't have a favorite, I love them all. Darren, you are amazing. What does HSCC stand for anyway?
Simply the best. Darren has assembled the best that Australia has to offer. There is no better talent then what you see here. SingItLive is at the top of their game.
We're really spoiled here for musical brilliance !! Greetings from Adelaide, South Australia..(origin of some amazing musicians....Angels, Cold Chisel/Jimmy Barnes. Sia, Orianthe, and SingItLive..)
Love it, thanks everyone. Listening to the sax in this makes me wonder if the SingIt Live crew may ever attempt Baker Street (Gerry Rafferty)……hint hint 😀
@@singitliveworld How about considering Will You by Hazel O'Connor or China in Your Hand by T'Pau as both have some great sax in them as well as being great songs.
Would be great to see Baker Street. I have only ever seen 1 great authentic cover - by Rick Springfield, 2005, The Day After Yesterday. The sax is essential. Foo Fighters covered Bake Street but using guitars for the sax riff which is good - but not as good as actual sax.
I am quite disappointed in myself, as with the 80's being the decade I grew up in and my favourite span of music as well, that I don't know this song! Obviously on the first listen Rachael's vocal performance is excellent as always, and the rest of the gang bring all the necessary parts together. I then dug out the original video and, damm, this really is an excellent cover. If Darren's job is to bring a varied range of talent and music of all era's to the masses, then he is succeeding. The new technology of today makes everything stand out 10 times better. Even Stefan and Mario's subtle "ooh's" are a delight. Jack back on the sax is a treat. It just shows that you don't always need to have the biggest, most well-known songs of all time to "thrill" your audience... It is the soul behind the music that makes it work. Many thanks for broadening my knowledge of music from Matty.
Is it in the arrangements, is it in the stunning vocals and musicianship, is it in mixing and post production? Somewhere in all of the Signit live performances is a kind of magic.
@@rickdaystar477 I agree, I also look at another channel doing covers. They got off to a good start but somewhere along the way they lost their pizzazz and now turn out colourless performances. Fortunately, I discovered where their pizzazz went to, and followed along. 😉
Nicely done and certainly embodies the soul and spirit Quarterflash offers in their original recording. We in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States were particularly proud of their national success and SingitLive got it right!
It had a sax solo the problem was Rindy Ross was a female lead singer who played an amazing alto SAX but it was the 80s and people were not ready to accept a female lead who could play an instrument; not many in that category maybe Martha Davis of the Motels. If they had made her the focal point of the band Quarterflash would have been even more successful!!!
Every time I get a notice that Singit Live has a new video out I can't wait to see who's singing and who's in the band. NEVER disappointed!!! Well done, Rachael.
Darren your band are getting better with every new track. Your productions are so professional. Bands you have left in the past are foing well, but would be even better if you had stayed. Your vocals and musiccality , are truely missed. Wishing Singitlive all the best for the future.
So i get to comment after 31 seconds of issue here in Germany, great song and nice to see and hear a sax player occasionally in our day and age!. Thanks so much guys and girls!
SingitLive are the best cover band I've seen, well done guys, rachael you were awesome, and a great song choice, this song isn't done by many cover bands, you nailed it , it would be great to hear you do more songs
Nice rendition from a band from my hometown of Portland, Oregon. Actually know one of the members of Quarterflash. Rachel, you nailed the vocal. And some love for the BGVs, very smooth. But it’s the sax that’s the signature part of the arrangement that is a great set up for Rachel. Good job folks. Keep ‘em’ coming.
I am letting everyone I know that your group of musicians and singers is top rate and a perfect example is bringing back a 1981 Quarterflash great 42 years later just shows how good music lasts and can return given a venue like yours. Thanks.
Durham, NC, USA here. Have been following you folks in South Australia for years. Always first class performances. Come tour the states. Leonid and Friends are getting $400 a ticket in the orchestra section. You will too.
I play this song on guitar with our band and it’s not an easy song to sing and harmonize with. Kudos to Rachael and the rest of Darren’s gang spot on as usual!
She got the image, Voice and the sound of the band is excellent. Something about her resonates!!! Hey buddy, TIME for an original to get on the charts. Do It!!!
*WOW !!! Brilliant track, perfectly mixed! Having seen Quarterflash LIVE, this recording does the original recording a very nice version! Great Sax solo! Darren does an excellent job as always!*
More Rachael!
It's 1981. I am walking through the halls of high school. A radio in the distance. Quarter flash. The sound of that song continues to take me back.
The amazing Racheal
The saxophonist gave great air to this song! Beautiful song with this beautiful girl ... thank you Darren with you only the best.
Darren always knows the right people to bring in for the cover. Great performance by all.
I couldn't imagine anyone but Rachael singing this. Well done all the guys and gal's, you remain Adelaides No1 band.
Adelaide's No.1

Seafood Mama!
And if you were in Portland in the early 80’s you know that 62 KGW radio played that song almost too much. Great song tho.
Didn’t they start as Hot Tuna in the early Portland days?
Me too, so true. Portland native (although I escaped long ago).

top Notch as always

awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the best sax I ever had!
The ultimate 80s break-up song..the singer has a Stevie Nicks vibe. Loved this song always!
