but jokes are a step away from reality and that's why they can be funny. for example when a character gets a piano dropped on their head, that's funny. but if your mum got a piano dropped on her head it wouldnt be funny. the difference is one is real and one isn't real. the same difference applies to the dark humour, it's not as clear cut as my example, you probably need to work on your sense of humour if you don't understand
