Well , credibility interview is very random , there are couple of factors to predict if you will get an interview or not. Such as your strong in your profile , your region , and background education/exp to justify your intension to study in UK.

pre-master would be a good option , but if you can justify your Gap , you should be able get direct entry in the course however with 6 years gap you will have limited options.

Did you enrol for pre sessional course ? If so then you have to complete pre session curriculum to be able to continue with main degree courses.
