I call it Me Space --- hubby retired 10 years ago & I am still doing all the wifey duties of taking care of house & the garden & all the house cleaning, cooking, cleaning up after cooking (he helps somewhat with that) Hubby finally learned to grocery shop about 7 years ago & only a very short, specific limited list of groceries. So I guess that is something.
He has never been a handy man around the house. He has NOT mowed the yard in 10 years - that is done by lawn people.
I mean I am sick of planning meals & COOKING. All the darn cooking shows --- those "chefs" do not dice all the food, put them in cute little bowls to be dumped into the pot, they DO NOT clean up the kitchen after. That is why Rea Drummond is the one who constantly smiles thruout the entire cooking/baking process --- I mean really I could cook under the circumstance if I had kitchen help & did not have to wash put away a dinner's worth of pans, pots, load dishwasher & clean all the counter space & the stove top --- take out the garbage to the bine. I never stop all day. Where is my relaxation & fun? Covid made it worse --- no dinners out ---our favorite restaurant left.

If something happens to my husband God forbid, I will never live with another man again. I’ve lived most of my life with a man and of course my kids when they were growing up; but even as a child, I never had my own bed. I want to be able to just make a sandwich and call it a meal. I want to stay up as late as I want and then sleep in as long as I want without feeling guilty or lazy. I think Delores is living her best life right now and I can totally relate. What’s not to love? You get to enjoy your special time with your man and then when he leaves, you’ve got your home to yourself and do as you like. It’s ridiculous that she has to explain herself to these women like Melissa who has to cater to Joe constantly. If that’s what makes Melissa happy, then good for her but don’t project your feelings on to Delores.
I always said the same thing and recently it happened and my partner passed away. I have never lived alone before. I came from a big family, my partner and I were together 20 years. I don’t want to share my space with anyone again. I don’t want to have to compromise or explain. I don’t know if Dolores is truly happy with her situation but I can absolutely understand how she could be.

She wants to be with her girlfriends and traveling to Italy to buy clothes and play business boutique. I think they have other issues -maybe money- that are stressing them. She has to relax, give him a little more time, and stop blaming him for lack of support because he has given her everything she wanted, including love.

Overarching comment, for the long-running Housewives franchises, we really need to see the "characters" exhibit growth. There are issues on all of the shows, from racism to gender equality, that really need to be addressed with each passing season. We are collectively beyond being satiated by manufactured storylines. There are real, relatable, and current issues on all shows; let's finally address them.
We don't watch this show for political correctness, pretty much the opposite. Not everything has to be a platform for social issues, this is a GD trash tv show to drink and giggle at, calm down

It's ironic that Joe and Melissa don't want the girls to talk about there relationship but it's ok for them to talk about Delores and Dave relationship. Leave Delores alone. Everyone is different. I do believe that if Frank wasn't going with her to events and acting like a boyfriend she would expect more from Dave. Frank is always there maybe he should step away for awhile. Joe is acting like a baby that's not getting enough attention grow up.
Joe & Melissa's Storyline is FAKE. It's a safe storyline that doesn't mess with their "image" and actual marriage. And just enough to get them through the season. I don't see her being around much longer, she doesn't bring anything to the table. She was only useful when she was fighting with Teresa.
