I haven't heard this song in about 10 years. And I still love the message and how absolutely batshit the drummer goes on his kit. Love this
Same. Haven't heard this in years. Completely forgot this existed until i was thinking of an old song with drummer that goes hard as hell. As you can see i eventually found it lol.
@@chocobro7863 I love when that happens. Coming across old bands and stuff that I've forgot about
A 13 anos atrás estava escutando essa obra, hoje em 2022 estou recordando os melhores momentos de minha adolescência com essa música.

Também mano, primeira vez que ouvi essa foi em 2010, estava na oitava série com 14 anos.

I don't understand why everyone is giving this band shit. ._. This song, and the cover they did for it is fucking amazing.
And this is coming from a guy that listens to Infant Annihilator, Acrania, Make Them Suffer and shit like that.
I don't care about fucking labels or what genre it is and shit. If I like a song, I like it.
Same here!!
Couldn't have said it better myself. Infant Annihilator rules. Saw these guys (Confide) live back in the day, and they were so wholesome, the singer was super nice, and we became pretty good friends over the evening, before he even went on stage, I had no idea who he was. Also, fucking love Acrania, Luke is a an online pal of mine. Check out his side project SHUSH, it's absolutely wild. God I love music, of all genres.

Just thinking of being in my twenties when this came out and now I'm thirty two is just insane to me, I was in my first serious relationship and now I'm a father. Thank you Confide for providing such a good song to be the theme to my happiest moments.
I don't see why everyone hates so much on this cover. It's good. To all of you hating on he's screaming, it's unique. That's what makes Confide. I understand everyone has their own opinion, but there's nothing wrong with a different screaming technique and sound.
+Mikey Corica I think it's not unique at all. They sound like every metalcore band around. That's how Metal is. Some great bands but then a lot of copycats.

I’ll forever be grateful of the first metalcore band that made me realize how much passion can be put into one song. Although a cover but I’ve yet to see anyone do it better
Man...Time flies so fast😢
Hey... this isn't so bad.. why are people saying it's ba-OHGODJESUSFUCKWHYISHE..WHY?
oh fuck... okay, he stopped.. that was really fuc-SHITFUCKHESDOINGITAGAIN.
My thoughts exactly
Yup, I was brought here by a mention that some screamo punk or whatever band ruined a perfectly good song. Curiosity killed the cat and part of my soul.
don't know why but I pictured Peter Griffin saying that
so much this.. The intro was nice. Then the singing started and I shut this shit off so fast the force of my finger hitting the home button pushed my phone out of my hand and threw it a good two feet away.
Three words- I. Know. Right.
This band does not suck, this song is done intentionally for people who like the band. If you don't like this style of music then don't say this band sucks or this cover sucks.. What really sucks is people who don't understand how to appreciate music and appreciate the effort put into the song that the band worked hard to produce, lets see you try and make a cover of this song. Oh wait, its not the same EDM crap or Pop garbage on the radio that shoves its way through your ears and turns you into someone who can't appreciate different styles of music. The cleans are great, the vocals are great, the instruments are great, and the breakdown is gnarly. Sorry they don't sound like Pierce the Veil lol, not everyone wants to cut off their ears after they listen to a song.
+Tom Cunnington This shit is awful, dude. This entire style of music is awful. Fucking crabcore garbage.
+chaosultimamage I like the original song by the postal service and I like metal Music. I like it lol.

My older sister showed my scene kid ass this song back in 09. It being my intro to Confide, I thought it was a song by them. I come to TH-cam the next day and see comments mentioning The Postal Service. I gained two awesome bands that I still listen to to this day.

Old songs like this takes you back in time. This one for sure is one of the standouts from the late 2000s post-hardcore covers in the scene.
I dont care what year you're listening. But its been 10 years since this song release and still rocks
2:56 sickest breakdown!
RIP Confide. They were a great band :/
loved this cover but would have been good to put "cover" next to the title atleast to show a little bit of recognition to the artist where the song was taken from...
yeah always thought that was weird, pretty sure they credit TPS on the album though!
Dude, have you been living under a rock? So many brands used "Such Great Heights" in their ads, it might as well be considered public domain. It's American classic. So recognizable & catchy in any form, you can practically whistle it into a Walkie-talkie wrapped in three socks, and someone across the street will still catch the tune and sing along.
Dude, even if we're living under the rock. All the brands used the song must've paid royalty to the postal service, or maybe they have made some agreements with the band
You got my back . Since 2009 i heard this song. Still emo. 🔥
I just wish people could truly understand us.. just once I wish someone would. But yet people wonder why we stay to our selves lol. Y'all stay rocking and stay true to who you are this world breaks the best of us
Are you Tyler Barnes from uhhh upward bound?
31 years old, searching for the music I was into back then to laugh at it and reminisce but discovering that I in fact enjoy almost the exact same things now then I did back then (on top of later discovered things). No emo (never was in a "click"), just enjoying good music 💀🤘🔥
sane here. I'm getting old so went to reminisce and stumbled upon this
I'm not normally into this genre but this just does it for me. I fucking love the contrast in vocals, I love the interpretation, I love that they made it their own. What a testament to a great creation, and congratulations on your edition.
This band and abandon all ships were my go tos that I knew not many people knew of

This music doesn't have an age limit. I know it's generally associated with little teenage girls, but I'm a 23, soon to be 24 year old male and I love this music. Confide and a lot of bands out there put so much meaning and heart into their songs and I'll gladly listen to them over the mainstream shit you hear on the radio. I don't care what you have to say about me; I'll gladly defend this band any day of the week.

Yes !
+Aiden Millar yes~ I am currently getting ready to cover this version~
yuppp
Yes.
I'm sick of all the slack that metal music gets, I'm sick of people who can't appreciate a different style of music that may not be what they are used to. People who hear that I like metal music, or Christian metal music in particular, immediately default to laughing at me and then following up the laughter with "Scremo music sucks." First off, just because you aren't a fan of the style of music does not mean it sucks. Second off, it doesn't give you a right to be ignorant and default the thousands of bands that play within the genre as a band you will never give a chance because you have to pay attention to the lyrics to understand what is being said. It's not just screaming, there are lyrics behind the vocals. Speaking of lyrics, Metal music has the BEST lyrics in music, hands down. It's no competition. If you were aware of what they were saying you would be in love with the genre, and you would understand why they are using vocals (the screaming). The lyrics are so moving that the only way you can represent them is by yelling them at the top of your lungs with the satisfying knowledge that someone else understands the hidden battle behind you face and above your throat. The music is motivating, encouraging, uplifting, its relaxing (proven in a scientific study), and not every single person who listens to it is angry, hateful, or whatever other stereotype you want to throw on the people who listen to it. Another scientific study has proven that with over 36,000 people who listen to the music have the same personality of someone who listens to classical music. The instrumental and musical talent behind the bands that play in this genre is astounding. The song structure is very complicated and talented musicians are needed to pull off a successful band. You cant just learn how to play it in one day, people who are successful in that genre have at least generally been playing their instrument for at least 5 years and up. Not to mention how exhausting performing live can be. You need to be in pretty decent shape to handle playing each instrument. Drums are especially difficult, those double kick petals are not exactly easy to play lol. Vocals especially are exhausting. I've been doing vocals for over a year now and I am finally grasping only the basic concepts of how to perform them properly. How to gain length, how to protect your vocal chords, how to project the sound upwards to your cheeks and nostrils, how to use your diaphragm to produce a full sound that can be understood, how to gain dictation in the vocals, and how to build up the capacity in your lungs (I spent a lot of my summer holding my breath in my pool to increase my vocal length). It is not easy and takes time to learn. So before you just throw away a genre that actually takes talent and actually has meaningful lyrics, take the time to learn how to appreciate all types of music and all the effort put into each style. I can appreciate any type of music that someone has worked hard to produce, and I will give it a chance. Even if I am not a fan of that style, I wont tell you it sucks, I wont laugh in your face, and I wont make fun of you for what you like. In fact most people who listen to this type of music are loving and accepting, and will give your music a chance. So please, rid yourself of the ignorance and stop ripping up a style of music because of your false assumption.
+Tom Cunnington u mad?
hey people watch scat vids

1. I wont read all of that 2. This isnt screamo. Screamo or Skramz is hardcore, not metal. Some Skramz to listen to: Orchid, Saetia, Pg. 99, Indian Summer.
If you are not going to read it then why bother responding to it?
