You leaving the old place behind is bittersweet. In one way, it's like the last episode of one of my favorite shows. But also I'm very excited to see what you have in store for the future!
Hey retro very please to see you keeping cjannel going and look forward to wxploring new old school tackle shops. Good luck witht he move and hope to see you again soon.
We’ll miss you in TX Retro-Have fun in NE FLA. Now you have to do some Retro Redfishin’, Seatroutin’ and of course some Flounderin’🤠There are some doormat Flounder in your area🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Another great show that brings back great memories from my youth. If you can find one I'd really appreciate it if you'd do a video on the Li'l Tubby. It was a rattle embedded hard plastic lure with a lip and a rubber replaceable tail. It was made in Oklahoma as I recall. I loved it and even caught an alligator gar on one in the White River in Arkansas. I owned 3 and lost them all. I think the company that made them went Tango Uniform sometime in the 80's.
Its been a while now but back in my days fishing central Florida the go to lures were various Mirrolures in black, silver blue, and silver, and 6" Zara Spooks. They worked well for Snook and bass. We used a lot of larger poppers and various rubber shrimp baits for redfish. A few others that I had really good luck with there were several all chrome Rat-L-Trap Floaters, Yozuri 3 1/2" Gold Minnow for river and small water snook, and several Big O lures for the larger lakes. Noisey top water lures like the jitterbug, crazy crawler, and devil horse did well too in green cover. I also liked either a black or brown larger size Rooster Tail for sea trout or even Talapia and other smaller fish in the spring.
Here’s to a new chapter in the Retro Bassin’ adventures. Best of luck to you on the new locale and looking forward to many more videos of our favorite retro fishing paraphernalia.
I could use one of those black spoons today (didn’t bring my retrobassin box)…. Also totally grew up using a seine net to catch my bait to surf fish just 45 mins south of your new spot!
If you'd like to get in on some good fresh water close by your new location in Fernandina there is a fairly secluded boat ramp to the St. Marys River in King Ferry Fl. Right there in Nassau Co. Enjoy!
@@RetroBassin I'm not sure the name of the ramp but there's nothing in Kings Ferry but a country store and the boat ramp is right next to it, if you drive by the Country Store you've missed it. I assume you can just look up Kings Ferry Florida boat ramp.
I made it from north west Washington to Okeechobee Florida!what a haul...and so worth it🎣🤠💥👌📸those spoons are cool,I got a few I added a skirt too to add some action to it.
Thanks for the years of great content. I'd be sad to leave that honey hole shop to...I think I'd be in trouble b/c I'd probably end up offering them $1000 bucks to clear that wall of boxes out and take it with me lol. Best of luck with the move!
Great to have a new sat morning retro bassin video ! One of my favorite shows ! You do a great job every time ! Thanks for the content! Peace ! Junebug is a great flordia color
OK, wait, holdup. I've been pretty busy with work and family and other stuff for a couple or 3 decades....are you telling me that plastic baits and bass fishing are now a retro only thing?? I've still got tons of plastic lures, snagless frogs, slug-gos, spinnerbaits, tubes, etc etc, brand new...this is no longer a thing???
You should just strictly focus on '...making beer cans float' and not even the precursor drinking part, just the floating of cans, just can floating. Bienville 'Shoot Fish In A Barrel' Plantation is a great place to N.E. Fla fish (White Springs, North of Gainesville, hotel closed) if you can weasel your way onto their property. EC Tease = Depicted Drew McGill, Wright around somewhere too.
Nice boat and hauler. I like the look of that Jenson bait shop, speaking of nice hauls. Do they have an online presence or is it strictly order by phone? I could definitely get into trouble there.
Love your channel ! Keep retro fishing alive ! Can't wait to see what's next !
Retro Wagon hits Florida!! . Gotta Love it!!
I live in clay county Fl and its a great place to be. Goodluck on finding your forever home 👍🏼. Oh and i picked up two boxes of extractors 😉.

Why would you want to leave Texas for Florida ??
