Kids today wouldn't get it when they can stream every movie and TV show that has ever existed on their phones.
I once got two black eyes as a kid looking through a view master while bouncing on the bed. The kids at school called me raccoon face for weeks.😂
And now your trooper helmet visor pays honor to your experience 🤘
I tried to add a picture it had Scooby Doo as an option so I guess it was from around 69-72 ish.
I had the Muppet Movie set. It's still kicking around somewhere
I had one of these in the 90’s, it was a pretty good toy if you were bored. Had to wait until the VHS tape was released if you wanted to see the movie that the slides in the view master was showing, couldn’t stream it before we could get a physical release either as it didn’t exist at the time.
I had the DC Comics Super-Hero Viewmaster gift set in the 70s. It was in a bucket too, I remember it had reels of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the original Captain Marvel.
View-Master was around right up until the 90's? Still around now? I didn't know that.
I remembered them from this early 1960s.
I've never NOT fallen asleep durning Dune.
Always loved the View Master! ✌️
I had Masters of the Universe, Thriller, A-Team, Spider-Man, Flintstones and Knight Rider ViewMaster slides.
I only ever had the single viewer (I think I still have it in a box somewhere). My favorite slides were "The Lone Ranger".
loved the view master on car rides
Loved the Viewmaster!!! Think about TH-cam before cellphones!!
Without all the commercials, shadow banning and deleating.
Woulda liked to have the Dukes of Hazzard,Knight Rider, and A-Team Viewmasters. That Family Matters Viewmaster no.
I have the dukes of hazzard view master reels had them since I was a kid great video
Man , i had tons of these as a boy. We had the metal Kodak Eastman 'View Master' , then the plastic ones & the Snoopy projector too
I had a Petes dragon, superman, and star wars view master.
I had Star Trek, Hiulk, Spider Man and Disney's 'The Rescuers' approx 1977. I had to squint so much that I've worn glasses ever since.
Sadly we don't get to see this toy anymore.
Last summer I bought a large bundle of viewmaster stuff at a garage sale for $50. Still havent had the time to go through it all yet.
Post what you find, when you're ready. Like to know what you got.
I have a three pack of He-Man Viewmaster Slides.
I have the ET Viewmaster Gift Set.
Dune is insane and awesome.
I have a Mickey Mouse viewmaster with The Rescuers reel
I had Batman Returns and I forget what else.
Possibly something from a classic animated Disney movie(?)
I saw a grown-up version at a flea market with discs that didn't pertain to any movies or anyting.
I really wanted to get it.
Hopefully it's still there ..
Thanks for the video
I bet there was no Star Wars ones because Kenner had those little film reel viewers that you watched with a hand crank. I think you have one. Probably a contract/legal thing. I had two different film cartridges for those, not sure how many total there were, but I think they stopped after the first movie. I had a Snoopy one too in its own viewer.
@That Junkman (Centurion) from the Latin Centurionem (nominative centurio). A officer/commander of a Century in the Ancient Roman army. And Yes! David Lynch's 1984 film adaptation of Frank Herbert's 1965 classic science fiction novel ''Dune''...Is still considered by many to be the (Heaven's Gate of big budget 'sci-fi/action movies). But at the same time, Frank Herbert's *Dune series* is one of George Lucas's biggest influences in the creations of his (Star Wars trilogy).
I had slides of Michael Jackson's Thriller; Batman '66 TV show and Superman Filmation cartoon.
I hade one
Where's that Waylon T-shirt?
When are you going to have Boyad or Amy Allen on your show that would make for some GREAT entertainment 😉 we could hear all the old stories about the Junk-Kid shoot bring on your brother or sister
Somebody used to make and sell Porn for Viewmaster, not official obviously, but the 3D discs were patterned after Viewmaster originals, then it was just a matter of setting up transparencies for the 3D effect. This would be in the early 80s, my Dad had one as a novelty he brought back from Germany.
I imagine it never caught on 'cos you need two hands to work it. 😂
I was thinking 🤔 what if there’s never been a Boyad and it’s just a figment of the Junkman’s imagination 💭 💭 💭 an imaginary friend….
I had one in the middle 1970’s his name was Dabby he was 16 married with kids and smoked cigarettes lmao 🤣 100% true
I think I must have had hundreds of those view masters. Not the discs but the actual viewers. But I only had one at a time. They were always vanishing on me. Either my grandparents were throwing them away, I know it couldn't be my parents cuz they bought them for me, or I had cousins and friends that were stealing them. I suspect they were getting stolen and I just never realized it. But really, there were many toys I had that just vanished and I have no clue what happened to them. I'm being serious. No one, not even my parents knew where all my Star Wars, Thundercats, MotU, Mask and GI Joe figures went to. They were just gone.
Any I think I had a few of the box sets. Most of them were the educational ones. You know the ones having to do with animals, plants, the planet...that sort of stuff. Box sets that I can remember having were Gremlins and MJ's Thriller. That's it. I would buy the stand alone discs, so I had a lot of those. Until they started disappearing too. I wish I had the Dukes of Hazzard. I had two cousins that had it and the bucket was always trashed. I always wondered why it came in a bucket.
Aw, man, I had.... zero of these things! But I knew what they were. My cousins had them, my friends had them, my enemies had them, complete strangers had them... But when it came down to action figures vs getting View Master, I always got the action figures. Dollar for dollar, the action figures were ten times more the fun! And that's why I never had any of these. So, my question is... Why did any of you have these?! Didn't you want action figures?! What the hell is matter with you people?!
Dune 1984 is one of the best SF films ever made, and is better than the remake IMO. But the production company thought they could market it to kids like Star Wars.
😕...To bad there wasn't a Golden Girls set...💯✔️
Best View Master San Diego Zoo Sea World and Lion Country Safari
I have a blue one, but it's about Ohio.
My mom kinda didn't like us (my brother and I) watching them Duke boys. Not cuz of Daisy's shorts, but because they romanticized being a shine running criminal while depicting law enforcement as corrupt and incompetent. Unlike REAL life, right?
Thundercats and He Man View Master?
Very rad
Cool story bruh
Well this is the First time in a while i had to stop watching a video becauae of how annoying and Unfunny it was...The whole " oh Mom Look!" Bit was obnoxious Cringe...
Thanks for clicking it and comments. Helps TH-cam push it out more
